Every time I hear about somebody dying or am watching a show on TV where somebody dies I well up with tears because I think about Sadie and how she isn't with me anymore. On the one hand it has made me much more empathetic toward the losses of others, but on the other hand it keeps opening up the wound.
John B -------------------- Sadie (named after the Beatles song "s e x y Sadie") came into my life when I rescued her from a cage in the SPCA in 1991. Then she was taken from me when she ate the tainted IAMs food in 2007. You will always be in my heart and thoughts, Sadie. There will never be another like you!
Rev 5:13 And every creature which is in heaven, and on the earth, and under the earth, and such as are in the sea, and all that are in them, heard I saying, Blessing, and honour, and glory, and power, [be] unto him that sitteth upon the throne, and unto the Lamb for ever and ever. |

I agree with you, even songs about lost loves make me cry these days. We lost two cats (Cleo & Skanky) to cancer 18 weeks apart. We had them for fourteen years. They traveled with us when we moved the the States from England and life without them is so hard. One thing that has helped me a lot is my garden. My husband bought me a miniture rose for each of them and having a little living thing to care for in their memory is comforting, I also am building a photo album of their lives and altough it does make me cry it also helps to remember all the joy. A true friend of ours who lost her daughter two years back says 'always remember it's not what you lost, but what you had that is most important. Pure unconditional love"
And aren't we lucky to have known it? Your in our prayers |

John B, I so... feel your pain. Yesterday as I was driving home from work I heard a song on the radio by Shanay O'Conner, Nothing compares to you came on . In case your not familiar with the song it goes something like this. It's been ___ hours and___ days since you took my love away. I go out every night and sleep all day ,since you took my love away. Because nothing compares ,nothing compares to you. I know that song refers to a relationship break up but it reminded me of Max because nothing will ever compare to him. Well anyways, I was in a decent mood but then that song came on and I started bawling. What a rollercoaster of emotions we suffer from our losses. One minute your up the next your down. When will the hurt ever go away? It's just so hard to go back to life with a possitive att*itude, when a huge piece of your happiness is gone and everything reminds you of that loss . I hope that time will ease our pain and that those precious memories of our furry freinds will once again bring smiles to our faces.
