6 Months Ago, still missing you murph Options

Its been 6 months all ready since i lost my murphy. It has gotten easier to go about my day but there are still times i miss him very much and wish he was still with us. I dont think that will ever go away. I do know that he is happy where he is and lived a long and happy life. 16 years is a good long life to live i think. As summer comes around the corner my family and I are thinking about adopting another kitten into the family. I am excited but also sad, because no kitten would ever replace what we lost. But I do want to give my heart out to as many loveable fur babies as I can, just giving them the life of love and a very long life just as we did my murph. I also wanted to say I am so sorry to those who lost their pets due to the tainted pet food. I know how hard it is to lose a pet with out warning, as many here do. I know I have never been in the situation that you may be in, but know that your pet loves you, and it WAS NOT YOUR FAULT. If anything just know that. My heart goes out to you and yours. keep your head up, things will get better. Just know we are here for you during this time of loss.

I am so sorry about Murphy. 6 months has got to be tough, knowing you've made it through half a year. My DH and I are in the same boat. And it seems like the joy of summer makes it harder, too.

Yeah, we feel the same about getting a new kitten, too. Nothing can replace a 6 year relationship with Murphy. But to offer all your love and caring to another cat would be wonderful, too. Only you can know when the time is right for you. I know it's tough and I am thinking of you. Have you done any memorial projects for Murphy? Having some pictures on Misty's box helps us tremendously. I am at 5 months and I can't put his book together yet, but I have worked on it. If only we can all make it through the first year....

I'm so sorry you lost your Murphy. We just went through the six months too, it's really hard. The summer is making it harder for us too. I understand how you feel. While it does get easier, you don't think about things so often but the missing them doesn't go. It was my birthday last weekend, and while I had a good day, I really wished my Moose could have been with us.

We have a new kitten, well he's getting pretty big now at 7 months. He is a joy. I think you are such a great mommy, that any cat would be lucky to have you. I can't wait till I can read a post from you in 'new beginnings'.
