I'm really not feeling to great right now, but I felt I needed to share this with you. Some of you have said in your posts that you have felt that you have received signs from your furbabies to assure you that they are ok. I had one the other day. I had an experience with a night light in my bathroom. It went off, and when I turned the water fawcet on(Scooter loved to drink from fawcets) , the night light came back on again. Well, a short time ago, for some reason I looked up at the mirrors in our dining room. Reflecting very brightly up and down one of the mirrors(very close to where Scooter used to lay down in his condo) were all the colors of the rainbow. Very vibrant, bright and beautiful. My heart is filled amazement. This went on for quite some time, and just radiated like you would not belive. I am trying to find comfort and peace in these signs. That's all for now, I just wanted to tell you about this. Tell me if you think these things were signs or not.I guess what is important, is that I believe that our Scooter is letting us know he is happy and content at The Rainbow Bridge.
Yours In Hope,
Trish(Scooter's Mom)

I think those are some pretty strong signs. I feel that everytime a close loved one, animal or human, passes on they try to give us signs to let us know that they are ok and it is ok for us to move on.

Thank you for your response. I read your story of you and Simba and how you two met, and were chosen for one another. You were a perfect pair, and truly loved one another. You were going to meet with a couple that had a foster cat, whose name was kept as Simba? How did that go? I'm doing ok today. I know it will take time and I will allow myself to take what ever time I need to get over our loss. Take care, and thank you again.

Very good, thanks... I posted about it in the New Beginnings forum a few minutes ago smile.gif

I still hurts when I think about Simba I, but it does help to know that I am giving a fellow feline in need a great home in honor of him.

Shortrish,
Not all of us are as blessed to have these signs, and I do believe they are signs. I lost Magic right before Christmas, and as a Christmas card Alley Cat Allies (which I support) sent me, out of the blue, a card with the picture of a cat on it that looked almost exactly like Magic, freckled nose and all. I was amazed - they didn't know I'd lost a cat, and this cat could have been Magic's twin. It was very comforting, somehow. So I know our departed pets, knowing how much we need and love and miss them, care enough to send us whatever comfort they can. They recognize our pain without judgement, when so many humans don't. I'm still extremely sorry for the pain you're going through, but I'm glad to know that Scooter is still with you. He always will be. Take care - Barbara

Barbara - Thank you for the comforting words. I thought I was doing ok yesterday, but today, I'm all teary again. I don't want to go to work, I just want to crawl back into bed again. But, work is a good distraction.
Speaking of cards, my vet sent me a sympathy card when we had to put Scooter to sleep, and the card had a black and white cat on it. I didn't think of it then, but that could have been the first sign, or maybe it just had a cat on it because I had lost my cat. But anyway, the markings were very similar. I guess I'd better get moving if I'm going to get to work. Take care today. I'm always thinking of the kind people here, who let me have my feelings and speak what I really am feeling. I appreciate that.
Trish
