Kandy vomited and dry heaved all night again. When I took her outside to go to the bathroom she just stumbled around, into bushes and walls, like she doesn't know where she is anymore. She doesn't want me near her, petting her. This hurts so much I can't stand it. Of course it's Sunday and the vet isn't in.

Erin,
Is there an emergency vet in your area? As much as I hate to say this, it sounds like your baby is in a lot of discomfort. Why do things like this have to happen on a Sunday? This is how Max was on his last day, he didn't want us near him either. He would go to a corner of the room and if we approached him or sat on the floor by him he would move away.

Try to keep her in a quiet area of the house. I know you want to do something for her, but I think that she kind of needs to be left alone.

My thoughts are with you Erin and my heart goes out to you..

Hugs,
Karen

When I went downstairs just now there was blood smeared on the living room carpet in several places. I sat with Kandy for a while but she got up and walked away. It looks like she is bleeding continuously, rather than just in her stool, because every time she sits down she leaves blood.

I left another message with the vet.

Had a whole new can of worms this morning because when I asked my husband whether we should bury or cremate he got mad and said he thought the vet just "took care of it." Then he said I would just have to figure it out. I feel so ALONE except for all of you pet lovers out there.

Erin, I just replied to your email......

I had Max individually cremated and the vet handled everything.
They even made a plaster paw print for me. It's not cheap, but
I like having him here with me. It was about $250. here in Maryland...

My gosh, it really sounds critical, does your vet leave emergency info on his answering machine message?

I had my girls cremated and scattered their ashes downt the field where we walked.

I know it hurtst thinking of these things now, but it really is wise, as on the day your not going to be able to think.

Good luck, im sorry your husband isnt very supportive well help as best we can but the decision is yours, you have to live with how you handled it afterwards, and believe me no matter what or how you do you will feel guilty, its part of the grieving process.

Let us know how you get on

Love Sue
