I've read some blogs about people's pets giving them signs that they were okay, and was pretty bummed that I hadn't gotten one.
This morning at 6:30, I had just gotten up to get some water and gone back to bed, I heard her meow. Loud and clear. This is usually her breakfast time, so she would often come into the bedroom at this time to wake us up.
I knew she wasn't really there, but I sat up anyway, and saw the curtain sway a little (the window was closed).
I think she came to let us know she's okay, and to see that we're okay, too.
My husband thinks I'm nuts! tongue.gif
Does anyone else have a story like this?
Brandy (and Soshi's spirit)

The day after our golden boy Winchester passed, our son woke up to tell us that he had heard him the night before. He said he heard him come across the hardwood floor of the livingroom, up the stairs and he stopped in his bedroom door. He said he then saw his tail as he went into our daughter's bedroom. He would do this every night before he finally settled down on the bathroom floor. We believe this was his way of letting us know he is still with us and that he was just making his usual rounds ensuring himself that we were all safely tucked in for the night.

My husband also feels he has visited with Winchester. He said that he has seen him a few times late at night walking through the garden in our back yard (one of the things he loved to do - he would walk the perimetre of the yard just before coming in for the night - checking to make sure all was well). My husband says Winchester usually turns and 'smiles' at him like he did in life a thousand times before.

I haven't had an experience like this yet, and for a while I felt really cheated and actually very jealous wacko.gif of their experiences. I was the one who did the most for our boy. But I know deep in my heart, Winchester will come to me when I will need his gentle comfort the most, so I am content to wait for the sign.

Oh, Brandy.... you are so far from nuts!!!! Soshi gave you a visit!!! I see Inky every now and again, as does my husband. In a fleeting moment I'll see him just sitting there, as content as could be, looking at me, then he's gone. He's still there and always will be, just as Soshi is. The love doesn't leave, just the physical shell.

I'm happy you got your visit!!!! wub.gif

Hugs,

Pat
