Hi, i just read your post and decided to post a message also. I had my Labrador put down last nite, he had cancer in his lungs and one lung had collapsed. With the advise of the vet, we wanted to do the kind thing for him and stop him from suffering. We didnt know til yesterday our dog had cancer , he was so strong and full of life til the end. It was hard to accept that his life with us was over. Today I just came home for the first time without him greating me at the door. It was hard. Im trying to be strong for my wife, but its hard on me to. I though the world of by buddy. I never really thought much of a afterlife for my dog. I hope there is and he is happy, and he knows we tried to do the best thing for him. I miss him so much.

Cry buckets and buckets, dont hold them in they are tears of gold helping you in your grieving process.

And Champs Dad

dont try to be strong for your wife, cry and grieve with her all too often being strong gets mistaken as not caring.

Hugs and kisses to both of you.

Love Sue
