Some people are just too much.... My boss is selling his home. He and his wife are moving into a rental while their new home in New Mexico is being built. They have a German Shepard "Annie" who is about 4yrs old and a cat who is I think about 10 yrs. They need to be out of their house by Nov.1 of this year. From the way he speaks, I get the impression that he doesn't like the cat that much. He has made several comments about putting his cat down. When he first said this, I thought the animal was sick. He said that the cat fine but is getting older and does it's "business" on the bed and it upsets him. She's "Had her better days" as he puts it. The cat is in perfect health and he just doesnt want the inconvenience of dealing with the animal anymore.
Now my boss is definately one fry short of a happy meal. Its something all of us here have accepted and unfortunately, because he signs the paychecks, its something that we are forced to deal with. So I take very little of what he says with a grain of salt, because, honestly.. there's not much left up there. I would like to think that he wouldn't actually go through with the action. Especially since it's his wife's cat, and she wouldn't be that cruel. So, today.. he mention's that he has the rental contract and it only mentions the dog, not the cat and again... mentions putting the cat down. He knows I just lost Odin and that i'm still upset over it. And I have said bluntly that his loss hurt me a great deal and that I don't appreciate the comments. He often says things to get a rise out of people and I'm wondering if this is the case. For his sake it better be. I can only pray that karma will come and the new home will become a money-pit or its get swallowed into a sink-hole or dust-storm or something, preferably with him in it.... ![]() cynthia -------------------- Odin, July 24, 2005.

Cynthia, I'm a true believer in what goes around, comes around. I've seen it happen time and time again. Your boss will get his in the end. It's just a matter of when and how it will happen.
The insensitivity of people still astounds me, even though I've come to learn that there's more of them than us. I have an elderly woman friend who was considering getting a cat companion, but then she said that if the cat got sick she wouldn't want to spend money on medical costs so she would just have it put down. I was appalled! I begged her not to get a pet of any kind. I call them blocked people. Maybe they can get through crises and tragedies better than others because of their insensitivity, but I feel they lack the capacity to love. Total waste of being alive, if you ask me.... Be well... You could sneak over to his new house and put raw shrimp in the curtain rods. He would never find them!
I read that a lady who got a raw deal from her ex hubby did that and no one ever found the source of the smell. I hope this kitty of his finds a new home. OMG, we replaced almost a whole house of carpeting because our cat forgot her litter box after we got the dog. We loved her too much to get rid of her. I hope your boss gets his- whatever is coming to him. |

How about a nice gift certificate for his OWN euthanasia?? Never mind. That's too good for him.
