Dear Kathryn...I read 2 of your posts today to other people and they are so comforting to read. I find an inner peace reading them as if everything will be ok. Today is really rough for me...it's my birthday and I just lost my cat TJ on Monday. I spent 22 birthdays together with him...he was my soul mate and there will never be another like him. I could just look at him and know what he wanted...he was such a sweet and gentle cat.
I was planning on going to the mountains today...where TJ and my family rent a cabin every year...but I am having car trouble so I was afraid to make the trip. I just feel as if I'm trying to run away from what happened to TJ. Silly, isn't it. I keep trying to stay busy so I don't have to think about it...but then it catches up to me. I keep seeing his sweet little face looking at me. Even when he passed away in my arms...he looked up at me first as if to say "Good-bye." I knew then it was the end.

Thank you for letting me know that there was some comfort that you found in the words that I passed on to you through posting here ~ It is a heart felt communication ~ remember that place of peace within your soul and find the love that is there because it is the glue that binds you with those you love where ever their spirits may hover ~ there are so many things that are larger and greater than the mundane world we find ourselves in day to day ~ our animal companions dwell in that realm totally and have such a real way that they can show us lessons on how to know more about that if we allow ourselves to be taught ~ it is mostly about the LOVE ~ so much more powerful than any other force in the world ~ and the thing that spiritual teachings try to help us find ~ it is found in the angels that are sent to us in many forms including those we find in our animals ~ I wish your family peace and hope for the future ~ as time passes you will find ways to stay longer in that place of peace and you will discover that you are never far away from those who have gone from your sight ~ I know how poignant and bitter sweet the last years with an elderly yet wise animal friend and companion as my Ambie was with me 20 years ~ and I know she gazes proudly across the spaces we find oursleves in and reaches her paw to touch my face once again when I sleep ~ as time passes I get closer to the true essence of the soul and remember that they who have gone on ~ are never far away from us ~ and YES I miss her terribly ~ my life is forever changed ~ yet this is the purpose of our lives to experience the change which is actually our spirits readjusting themselves to each other as day passes to day and night back to night ~ Go to the mountains ~ breathe the air and find your friend ~ Bless your heart ~ Try to find happiness ~Sincere thoughts ~ Kathryn
