Hello all, i just had to phone my son at 3am to tell him that his beloved puppy somehow jumped or fell off my 3rd floor balcony and is dead. I just can't believe it. How does such a thing happen, Tokyo a lovely Shiba Inu is here often and i'm in a state of shock. I don't know what to do for my son Daniel, he came right over when i called and has just left so that i can prepare Tokyo and Daniel will bury him tomorrow. I don't know what to say, i can't stop crying and Tokyo is so gorgeous. Please pray for Daniel he has had more than his share of death and heartbreak. thank you for letting me write, karenw

Karen,
We all share your grief and your son's grief. Everyone on this site has nothing but empathy for what you are going through. Some of us have lost little ones this week and my Ryddley was an old girl, so I hope that she will look after little Tokyo as they start their journey with all our other furry friends who have gone on before us. If Tokyo is with you, I would suggest that you sit with him and stroke him and tell him everything you feel. When Ryd passed over on Monday night, I lay on the floor with her as he spirit prepared to leave her body and told her everything that was on my heart. Somewhere deep inside me I believe that she heard my words and I know it was a great comfort to me to tell her everything, even though I would have preferred to tell her in life (although I hope I did). I don't know how such things can happen, Karen, but I know you will be there for your son and you must know and believe that all little souls go on to wait for us. I am thinking of you. It isn't easy, we all know, but you aren't alone even if the night seems long and very dark and lonely. Wishing you peace.
B

Ryd, my torty-pusscat, crossed over to the Rainbow Bridge on 06 June 2005 at 18h40 leaving a hole in my life and my heart. She was everything to me and the sweetest, most loyal friend. Love you and miss you so much, RyddleyPid.

I created this as a tribute to Ryd: http://www.in-memory-of-pets.com/personalt...te.asp?ID=50435

I am so sorry for your loss... I agree that talking to him is a good idea... I wish I had been given the opportunity to do so when we put Freeway to sleep...
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your son....

It was in death that you taught me how to love fully and completely. It was in life that you taught me that I was worthy of such love. I long for you, but you are right here in my heart, forever.
Rest in peace, sweet friend.
