At the last moment meatball was nice to me again.
He saved me from the anguishing drive to the vet. He went into culvulsions and died next to me in bed. I talked to him all night, rubbed his back and his nose, between the eyes, Oh man did he used to love that. He would let out a heartbreaking moan, but iwas determined to stay with him I cried during, but immediately afterwards I was calm, he's with my dad. Tomorrow might be another story. last thing I said to him was "I love you. " It didnt last very long, but was hard to see. The body, is going to the vet to see if it happen to be rabies, for saftey. That is no longer him, its where he used to live. He even gave a reason to have a small consoling smile in death. When i picked up his body his paw went up to my nose, as to say "No kisses" Goodbye, Meatball I will love you even after Im gone. David |

You are so brave and compassionate and a wonderful and dear care giver for your baby ~ the love you sent him off with was so powerful and strong providing a cloud of pink and gold love to make the way from earthly to spiritual ~ I am so sorry for your loss but know that your love and unconditional selfless giving of your soul to this sweet babe has bound you together forever - as the days ahead begin to pass and your sorrow ebbs and flows you will begin to see glimpses of your new relationship - one that transends time and space ~ God Bless you and Keep You ~ Sincerely, Kathryn

I lost my Amber Tabby Girl of nearly 20 years on 3/28/05 after a valiant battle with end stage CRF. Always a beacon in the storm ~ steady and true. C.C was my purebred White Angora I lost to cancer on 10/22/05 at age 13~ A Big Gentle yet Oddly Eccentric Creature ~Through his congenital deaf ness ~He brought an innocent joy to my life and light to my heart I also adopted an 8 yr old Burmese named Samantha who led me back into my own room ~ still a stranger to me ~ she sweetly gives peace to Amber's final days spent there and lights my way to see in the darkness of the spaces that my precious CC has left behind. |

David, I am just so sorry that your precious Meatball has left this world. I am glad that you were able to spend his last night loving him. I would take his paw falling across your nose as he had put it there so often to ward off your kisses as a sign. A sign that he did not want you to be so sad and that he was alright and now is with your dad.
Ann -------------------- My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart. Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings. Snookie Lynn Howard 2-04-94 - 12-26-04 Senorita Chili Bean Bubbles Howard 11-05-94 - 11-11-04 |
