I just had to show you this photo I took of Schnitzel, Cinny and Amber basking in the sun. Our toy poodle Gypsy Rose thinks she is to good to lay with the others. Well once in a while she lays with them but not often. They all get along so well and love each other.
I wish I had taken a picture like this with Snookie and Chili Bean when they would bask in the sun together. After having lost my babies I take pictures almost daily of my new babies. You just never know what could happen even though they are young. Just like we almost lost Amber when she got sick from me cleaning the carpets and almost died. Now I am picture crazy!! Ann

-------------------- My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart. Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. I also wanted to put this one of Schnitzel on with her summer haircut. She sure loves to have her picture taken and I think she gets prettier by the day.

Ann,
I love the picture of your three babies. And Schnitzel is just adorable! She has the sweetest expression on her face, and I love her new summer 'do.' -------------------- Alice Mae Bennett ("Allie") was born around May of 2003. She came home to us in July. On March 10, 2005, she became ill with a condition called mesenteric torsion or volvulus. It is a twisting of the small intestine which is nearly impossible to diagnose. Once symptoms begin it is usually too late to save the intestine by surgical means. There are no known ways to prevent it and its causes are also unknown. It is extremely rare, especially in medium-size females like Allie. It is more common in males of large breeds, like German Shepherds.
Allie was a sweet, happy and loving soul. I will miss her every day. Thanks for giving us these last two years, little girl. We'll always treasure them. |

Thank you all so much for your kind words. Lynn, Rusty is just so precious basking in the sun and I am so glad you shared that picture with us. Jenny that is a beautiful picture thanks for sharing that with us. I love it when we post pictures of our past and present babies. I love looking at the mama's and daddy's too. Little Chili Bean basked in the sun just as much as she could too. Here is a picture of her but when she saw the camera she had to sit up for a picture. She was a ham for sure she would come running whenever she saw a camera.

Jenny, that picture is SO cute of the three of you!
They both do appear to be posing and you're right, Lucy ##ing her head is adorable! Brandy is ALWAYS turning her head from side to side when we talk to her. It is SO sweet! Ann, I love that picture of Chili Bean too! I have seen that before but didn't pay attention to the sunlight streaming around her. Ann, the basking in the sun picture is wonderful! They all look so calm and content!
Schnitzel's summer cut is very cute! I'm glad you're feeling closer and closer to her. My little puppy, Koda, sure has found a place in my heart too. I thought I'd add this poem that I found. It seems appropriate to this thread.
