How could 2 months have passed by so quickly, yet dragged on forever?
On this day, 2 months ago at 10:25 a.m. my heart left me for a better place, where there is no pain, suffering, medications or shots. He's playing with all of the wonderful new friends he's made, eating all the shrimp he can fit into his little body and has a never ending supply of furry stuffed mice to roll around with and toss up in the air. I know he's better off and that I should be happier about that, but seeing how Taz has been since he's gone makes me want to be the most selfish thing on the planet... I want him back. Taz needs him back. Everything in the house has been upset since he's gone. Taz and Smidge are suddenly trying to kill each other... literally. So bad that we had to put them both on Prozac to try to curtail the aggressiveness they're both suddenly displaying because my alpha cat is no longer there to keep the peace. Poor tiny little Solo, only 8 weeks old now, is caught in the middle of two crazed giants when all she wants to do is explore the world and be everybody's friend. Amazing how one little cat had so much presence. I love you Inky ![]() -------------------- INKY November 26, 1991-February 5, 2005

I just wanted you to know I am thinking of your and your gorgeous Inky. He sure is a doll, he looks just like my furbaby that has cancer. I love the eyes so much. I know what you mean about time dragging and going so fast at the same time.
Seems like many of us have babies who started fighting after we lost our loves. I had to take Gypsy to get pills too she became so mean it was hard to live with her. I thought she was going to kill Schnitzel and they got along so well until Snookie and Chili Bean died. It really did help and soon the hopeless look in her eyes went away. I hope your babies start to get along soon and that they don't hurt little Solo. Ann -------------------- My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart. Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings. Snookie Lynn Howard 2-04-94 - 12-26-04 Senorita Chili Bean Bubbles Howard 11-05-94 - 11-11-04 |

My thoughts and prayers for peace are with you today on his sad two month annivesary.
My goodness, I remember when you first came here and told us about your gorgeous Inky. It's hard to believe that two months has gone by already. I'm sure it seems even longer at times to you, though. I'm positive he's doing all those wonderful things you said. It made me smile and laugh to picture him eating enough shrimp to fill his little body ![]() I'm sorry your other furbabies are having a hard time adjusting. It's sad for everyone when such a special presence has to leave. I hope little Solo is adjusting well to her new home. Hugs, Cheri -------------------- Rachael Ann

I'm thinking of you too.

Dear Ann, Cheri & Jazzy,
Thank you. Your words made me feel a lot better and I appreciate the compliment on Inky's eyes. He had eyes that literally bore into you. He got his point across with one look all the time! Yes, it does seem like an eternity since I gave him kisses on the top of his little pea-head, which is something we really miss doing. He'd just sit there, ears out to the side, with a look on his face like "are you finished yet?". ![]() Solo has adjusted well to her new home and has had no problem making it HER home! She's got all the makings of a little girl who intends to be in charge... even at 8 weeks! She has a lot of that black cat attitude in her, just as Inky did. As for the other two, what can I say. They have to duke it out themselves (to a point) to get their issues cleared up. I know that Taz just cannot get over losing his best friend and takes it out on Smidge. We upped his dosage of Prozac and he's been a little better the last two days. We'll see. Cheri, I just know that Rachel is in her glory wading around in a pit LOADED with tennis balls. Inky's probably sitting there stuffing himself silly with shrimp, being amused by the tennis ball show Rachel is putting on. I'm sure that Snookie, Chili Bean and Jasmine are in that audience, too!! Hugs to you. Pat -------------------- INKY November 26, 1991-February 5, 2005

Dear Pat - I just want you to know that I went through the same thing when Amber's brother Jade died in 1999. He had been big boss at over 14 pounds of perfect Mackeral Tabby - Soon enough CC was on a rampage to take over ~ Amber always beat C.C. but during the last years I seperated them because he would always try to find ways to get her back like attacking her when she was sleeping ~ it broke my heart that we could not all be one family together ~ After a year and a half ~ I decided I had enough of that and Amber although she always won was becoming too frail and tired to always have to be stressed out by a daily brawl ~ Amber stayed safe and sound her last years in the Master Suite ~ however if I had not been able to do that - medication was going to have to be next ~ My heart and prayers go out to you ~ I love the photo you attached ~ what a wonder-filled kitty he was ~ Take Care ~
-------------------- Peace Be With You ~ Kathryn ~ Angel Amber ~ Angel CC~ and Sammie
I lost my Amber Tabby Girl of nearly 20 years on 3/28/05 after a valiant battle with end stage CRF. Always a beacon in the storm ~ steady and true. C.C was my purebred White Angora I lost to cancer on 10/22/05 at age 13~ A Big Gentle yet Oddly Eccentric Creature ~Through his congenital deaf ness ~He brought an innocent joy to my life and light to my heart I also adopted an 8 yr old Burmese named Samantha who led me back into my own room ~ still a stranger to me ~ she sweetly gives peace to Amber's final days spent there and lights my way to see in the darkness of the spaces that my precious CC has left behind. |
