My dear husband and I worked ourselves to the bone, I have not had much time for many tears these past couple of days. We have been moving 2 of our children into their new house.

Our son Jim, our daughter Paula, her daughter our precious grand daughter Sara, and Paula's husband are all now living in the same house. They thought it would be fun to buy a house together as they all get along so well and are so close to each other. With the new baby on the way Paula will have a little more help after he or she comes. There are plenty of rooms for all. Clair and I are all excited for them. It is only a mile away from our house.

By the way I never did tell you what the baby's name will be. I did laugh at the names Pamela thought I might give to my new grand child. I guess I made you wait long enough Pamela. If Paula has a boy I have chosen his name to be Dakota James and if it is a girl her name will be Bethany Ann! I let my mother name our middle daughter and she chose the name Paula Ann. And I now I feel so honered that Paula is letting me name her child. How blessed can I be!

Anyway when the children got the keys to the new house I said out loud come on girls lets check it out. I could picture little Chili Bean running from room to room as fast as her short legs could carry her. After she checked it out she would have been upon Jim's bed in no time. Then little Snookie would have calmly walked from room to room to check things out. She would make sure all was well and there was nothing there that would do us any harm. Snookie no doubt would have been looking for food and water bowls too. Then she would have layed down and acted like she owned the place.

I cried because they were not there to do these things but then I thought they might just be there even though I could not see them. So after I walked through the house telling Snookie what a huge house it was I told her lets go out and check out the yard.

It goes 150 feet back and has a privacy fence, that would have bummed Snookie out as she loved looking at people. There is a wonderful back porch that the girls would have loved to bask in the sun. Well it's off to their new house they want Clair and me to come spend a little time with them and help them put things in place. They still have more of their belonging they have to take to the new house. Snookie and Chili Bean would have loved the new house, maybe they will go visit every now and then.

My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart.
Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings.

Dear Ann,

Such wonderful news about Dakota James or Bethany Ann! What beautiful names. And great news about the new house...such excitement with the promise of a new home. I could just picture Snookie and Chili Bean running through the house and checking things out. I wish so much that they were there with you to help you enjoy it. I know they were there in spirit. Enjoy this happy time and take comfort knowing that Chili Bean and Snookie are watching over you, and when they see their sweet Mom happy, it makes them happy too!

God bless you and your family,
Jenny

Alice Mae Bennett ("Allie") was born around May of 2003. She came home to us in July. On March 10, 2005, she became ill with a condition called mesenteric torsion or volvulus. It is a twisting of the small intestine which is nearly impossible to diagnose. Once symptoms begin it is usually too late to save the intestine by surgical means. There are no known ways to prevent it and its causes are also unknown. It is extremely rare, especially in medium-size females like Allie. It is more common in males of large breeds, like German Shepherds.

Allie was a sweet, happy and loving soul. I will miss her every day. Thanks for giving us these last two years, little girl. We'll always treasure them.

That is a wonderful story Ann.

I am sure that Snookie and Chilli Bean were with you at the house. I loved the way you talked to Snookie to come check out the yard with you! I'm sure her little spirit was right there beside you.

I talk to Ellie a lot as if she was still here, too, because I feel she often is. I can feel her around me. Not all the time, but a lot of the time. Sometimes I feel she's gone back to Rainbow Bridge again. But often is the time when I can sense her presence in the house or garden. When I do, I say, so you've come to see how I'm getting on have you, sweetheart? And I call her my angel Ellie, and thank her for coming back and being with me for a while.

Bless darling Snookie and little Chilli Bean
with love
jilly

Thanks Jenny and Jilly, We have worked real hard again today helping our children and I was so busy I never cried one time today. Still I thought of how Snookie would be looking in the boxes and Chili Bean would have been sitting in one. Maybe that's what they were doing in spirit without my knowing it. I'm glad you liked the names I chose for the new grandbaby.
Love, Ann
