I had to take him back to the vet this morning. He is not eating or drinking, and is vomiting. They suspect distemper. He was already hit hard by the parvo, and his immune system cant withstand it. I got the call from the vet 10 minutes ago - he is vomiting blood and not expected to make it through the night. We will have to put him down. He is so young, only 4 months, he never got a real chance to have a good life. I'm sure I will break down at the clinic. Im just waiting right now for my fiance to come over and go with me to see him one last time. He was only with us a week, but I already loved him so much. I am devastated.

I just wanted you to know I understand. He was blessed to have such a loving family for his short life. Please remember that some go forever without the amount of ove you gave Jackson in a short time. I truly believe that our animals know when they are loved. He will soon be with the other special animals who have been in your life. Don't let this experience make you question why too much. We all play special roles through our life, and your most recent role has been to be there for Jackson, to help him through this, to provide a family. I will keep you in my thoughts....I can see Jackson now, free of his pain...running and playing with all the others who are waiting for us. Martina

That is terrible news and I am so sorry Jackson can't be saved. Maybe he came into your life so that he could experience love even for a short time. At least Jackson will know you fought hard to save him and that you loved him. Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you.

My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart.
Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings.

I am so sad about Jackson. This is such bad news. I am sorry for your pain and I know the devastation you feel. I am glad Jackson at least got to feel truly loved, even though it was for a short period of time.

I am thinking of you in this difficult time.

that is terrible news. i'm so sorry. it's just not fair that such a young dog who was loved so much can be taken away in the blink of an eye. jackson knows that you did try very hard so that you could be together. the poor puppy is probably in so much discomfort - you are making the right decision - please know that. you are freeing him from his pain. at least jackson found someone that would be so kind as to free him from the discomfort that he is experiencing. i think that martina is right - maybe jackson was sent to you so that you could love him and set him free, and that is your role in his short life. at least he can leave this world knowing that he is loved, because so many do not. thinking of you, ah

I am so sorry for your loss of baby Jackson....it does not seem fair that he did not get a longer time on earth with you. For him to have experienced your love and commitment during his few months made his time here on earth all the sweeter. I know you will miss him so much. Thinking of you...

I am so sorry too -- I was so hoping Jackson would get better and go on to share a long, happy life with you, but I am glad that he found a good, happy home and was so very much loved, even though the time was way too short.
