Dear Avril,

Probably a combination of both... which is ok. You loved your baby. You didn't want to lose your little girl and you also wanted her better. I believe (speaking more for myself than for people in general) we all do that, then we all wonder and beat ourselves up.

The main point of everything is that our babies are LOVED and always will be. The rest is just stuff. Be happy and be strong.

Pat

Hi Avril,
I often wondered the same thing about myself when it came to Snookie. I knew how sick she was, knew there was no chance to ever get well. Yet I kept hoping the vets were all wrong. All I wanted was for Snookie to get well. She fought for over 10 months to stay with me. But her little body was to sick to fight anymore. For 10 months I struggled daily wondering was it wrong to let her live in pain and suffer. Would it have been wrong to play God and have her put to put her to sleep. Sometimes we just don't know what is right or wrong when it comes to our babies.

Avril, if I don't get on the board before the 20th I want to wish you a Happy 14th Birthday. May you be blessed with many more. May your health come to the good and your heart be filled with love. I wish you much happiness in your life in the years to come. Happy Birthday!!!

My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart.
Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings.
