With a heavy heart I have searched so long for an urn to put my precious Snookie in. Nothing gave me any peace of mind until I came across these urns. I don't know which one I will choose and I wish it was of a miniature schnauzer but I guess they do not make them. I think one of these will bring me alot of comfort and I think Snookie would like it too.
My darling baby girl has been gone 3 weeks today and little Chili Bean has been gone for 9 weeks and 3 days. The loss has all but destroyed my heart but I know my girls would not want me to quit living or loving. For the memory of their love I have been doing my best to carry on, press on, and keep loving on. It has been hard and many tears have flowed but I have faith and hope that one day I will embrace them again. Until then my heart and soul will cry for my babies but love will find a way for me to recover. It just all seems so unreal but the pain tells me otherwise. My shattered heart has pierced my very soul and drained me of my strength and somedays I don't know how I can hold my head up and face another day. Yet even though I have had the pain and the heartbreak of losing them I would go through it all over again for I was loved more than any human has a right to be loved. Ann

I like those, it's just hard to get excited about such a painful thing. I think those would HONOR her.

I'm glad to hear that you've found an urn that you will feel comforted knowing that's where Snookie is. We picked up Sonnie's ashes on Saturday. The tin he is in is very beautiful. It's a black background with lots of open flowers on it. It's actually very fitting for Sonnie because he used to smell the flowers in the yard when they were blooming. We are looking for something else though. There are some wooden urns in which we can put a couple of pictures on the outside. Rob rather likes those. I think I'll leave the decision up to him.
I too would go through this experience again to have the five and a half years with Sonnie. I understand completely your choice to do this if asked. Life is full of extreme good times and extreme bad times. We're in valleys right now, but the hills will arrive again. I wouldn't trade my life experiences for anything. I'm sure you all feel the same. May you find the peace that you so desperately crave, Ann. -------------------- KayKay
May we all have the strength to make the right decisions for our furbabies. I love and miss you so much, Sonnie-dog. Adopted: April, 1999 Deceased: Christmas, 2004 |

Hi Ann,
May I ask, where did you find these urns, what website were they on? Maybe we should add the link to the links forum. Have you received this urn yet? were you happy with the quality of it? Thank you in advance, I too am searching for something nicer for my Jake... Peace to you, Ann |

Ann- those are beautiful urns. I would like to find something nice like one of those for Lucy when she passes. We will have her cremated and I am not sure where to go for urns. Part of me doesn't yet want to think about that but soon I will have to. Snookie would love the urn I am sure. You are such a good mom to put so much time and thought into a final resting place.

I bought the urn from a seller on e-bay. I did not get it yet since the item ended and I just paid him today. I used to sell on ebay years ago and I have also bought a lot of things and have never been ripped off yet. He also sells urns that are in the shape of cats and they are beautiful too. The dog that looks light in the picture I put on her is black instead of silver colored. The dogs are around 12 inches high so it will be a nice size one. I did look at some wooden boxes that had a schnauzer on top of it but they had cropped ears and I didn't want that. I hope the link I put on to the seller works if not you can go to ebay and type in dog urn.

I too have been searching for an urn for Indy. I finally found a site where I can get a cherry wood urn with a ceramic Aussie on top. I will be sending photos of Indy and the artist will custom paint the ceramic terrier to look like my boy. Inside is a photo frame where I can place his picture. The urn is large enough for his cremains, collar, lock of hair and his guardian angeldog tag that he began wearing when he became ill.
I should be receiving it soon. Then my Indy can rest comfortably and be close to me when I sleep. A friend also flound a website for me where creamains (of loved ones, human or fur), in a carbon process, can be made into precious stones. I don't have the site info here at home, it's at my office, but I will post when I get it. It's an expensive process, but I would love a precious stone ring so I know Indy will also be close to me at all times. Here's a picture of the urn.

Hi Indy'sMom,
The site for a gem to be created is called Life Gems, I started a thread about it which is in the "Links" forum. Do you have a link for this urn you are getting? Thanks in advance! |

The Life Gem is such a lovely idea ... I had heard of it for humans, but I didn't know it could be done for furbabies. So much more fitting and beautiful than ashes.
I will go take a look at your "link". Thankyou for sharing. with love jilly -------------------- ELLIE, my beautiful precious baby. 1st Sept 2003 - 3rd Dec 2004.
Rest peacefully my little sweetheart. |
