I miss you so much yodi. I cry all the time . Never to rub your little pot belly again. Or to watch your cute little gate as you walk. I wish I could feel you around SOMEHOW. I've now become an insomniac, there is no sleeping. I've tried eating more anxiety pills than I should, tried sleeping pills...nothing. I love you Yoda please slow me to feel your precence arond me soon.....I need it badly.

Don't take more pills than you should.Yoda wouldn't want you to be sad.Dogs always seem to know when their human buddy's are sad and they hate it.They don't want us to be sad.

I was told that if you pay attention and focus,we will get the signs we are waiting for!!

Grieve,cry,vent,talk....do whatever makes you feel better but remember that you gave Yoda a wonderful life and he gave you one as well.That is pure love and that is a beautiful thing!

Thanks for your kind words. I am so sorry for YOUR loss. Monday will be 3 weeks. It would help so much if I could "feel" him like we have with past pets. 17 yrs is a long time to have a friend, and to have them ripped out of our lives, it KILLS. I was told to read your posts, they always make me cry. So glad I found this place.

Yoda. I have to keep this thread bumped to keep you on the first page a few more times. Got more anxiety meds, Different from the others. I cant make it through a day without leaking from my eyes. Still havent baked your paw print in the clay plate, cant even LOOK at your meds, food, anything of yours. When I can, there are some of your stuff to the Human Society, just can't bring myself to do it yet.I think about you ALL DAY, I lose concentration. Today and I shot my fingure with my nail gun. Always thinking of you. If one more person tells me either it has been long enough to be greiving like you are, or you were "only" a dog, etc I will pull thier lungs out. Everyone here on thins forum knows the special bond we have with our pets, and I KNOW that the people in this world who don't are missing something in life. I would kill to beable to get up at 3:00 am to get you outside to pee again, or rub your paws, or give you your massage. It breaks my heart, you were my most special boy. Everyone kew that, I dont remember it hurting this bad when we had to let your 5 brothers and sisters down. One every yr. I long for the time I can "feel " you or "see" flashes of you like all the others. That would give me comfort. I have to go here come the tears. I love you yodi

Yoda gotta bump this up. I tried to bake your ceramic paw print today. COULDNT even look at it. STILLcannot feel you or see you. I would even settle for a dream at this point to know you are "O.K"Words cannot describe what you meant and STILL DO mean to me, the pain is SO hard to deal with. I love you buddy. I would give my ear just to rub your cute little belly, or massage your joints again. Yoda I LOVE you.

And being subjected to unkindness who are closest to us is not helpful. I am so glad that you are not rushing into making any decisions about your beloved Yoda's things. These are decisions that can wait until YOU are ready to make them, Shane.

Yoda, I finished your tattoo. I dar not even look at your ashes yet. You are on my mind ALL the time buddy. I am sorry I did not put a pinch of your ashes in with the tattoo ink like I did with zsa zsa, but I cannot bear the though of "pieceing" you out. I hop u like it Yodi. Its still so hard without you. Will you PLEASE let me FEEL your presance (spelling?) PLEASE It would help me so much.

Please forgive me for not posting for a while. People problems have been getting in the way and messing with my mind. The tattoo turned out beautifully. Neveer, ever feel bad about bumping precious Yoda's story up in the list of posts. We love Yoda - and we love you, too.

The more I read your posts, the more i KNOW that Yoda is a spirit dog - YOUR spirit dog - the other half of your soul. When our soulss join us for a short short while here on earth, there is no love that compares to it. And when they go back to where they came from, there is no pain to compare to it.

I know what you mean about the pawprint impression. I wept when I saw it in the bag with Gretta's ashess and I still can't face it after over a year. Maybe I'll never be able to - it just hurts too much. Yoda IS with you ... she's telling you so in those tiny flashes of presence, the times you can see her for just a nanosecond, when you can feel her soft fur for, again, that nanosecond. She's reassuring you that she is OK. My wonderful vet said, when he heard about Gretta's passing ( it happened on a weekend when his office wasn't open): "She's in a safe place now."

One of my friends at work made a beautiful wooden box with a cover for Gretta's ashes. he burnished Gretta's name and dates on the front. These boxes mean so much to him. He and his wife lost their first child at birth and my friend cut and planed wood and made the baby a casket. He feels honors his son every time he can make a box for someone who is grieveing. I would very much like to ask him to make a box for you - but only if you agree. Even if you don't use it for Yoda's ashes, you and she will know that someone far away knows and remembers precious Yoda.

Please be gentle on yourself. You'll cry for at least as long as Yoda lived with you - and for a spirit dog, probably for the rest of your life - even if you do find another canine - or even human - companion. They'll have your love; Yoda has your soul.

Been a ROUGH section in my life. Depression , family problems etc. Yoda I saw the mat you laid on in the final days, it caught me by surprise. I broke down hard buddy, REAL hard. Wish you would let me see or feel you once in a while. Time seems to make it harder, NOT easier. Ive tried to volenteer at the local shelters, after 4 times I realized I just cant do it emotionally, please be with me buddy. I love you Yoda

Shane, let me extend my personal sympathies over the loss of your Yoda. Having all the fond memories but not the physical friend they came from is hard. Try to focus on the fact that you gave him a safe loving home... that it's proof that you cared and still care for him, and his spirit wants your heart to have peace.
