Dearest Warren, as NASA would say, "Houston, We Have Lift Off!!!"
![]() Please read the PS at the bottom telling how and why I chose this shade for the beveled frame. ![]() ![]() ![]() Voila! Big Hugs to You and Your Fur Babies Freddie and Abby!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Always, Dottie xoxoxox PS. As I slowly enhanced, enlarged and sharpened the image more, I saw "orange" (as in giraffe fur spot color orange) and went for it. That's the shade of "Gold" mixed with orange which matches Freddie's muzzle color, fur above his forehead and on his chest and neck. All righty then! More Hugs to You and Your Fur Babies!!! PS. PS. I see we're on a new page so please be sure to see my first attempts at the bottom of page one. Thanks! |

Dearest Warren, I'm so pleased that your partner and you find what I did with Freddie's picture a wonderful thing. Oh, how that makes my heart soar! You have no idea. It's my pleasure and I'll be very pleased to do the same with any other pet or other photos you have. It's one of my passions to enhance images and my biggest passion is to help put a smile on the face of a grieving fur Mommy or Fur Daddy. That does indeed make my day, month and year. Bless you!
I'm terribly sorry to hear that your other 4 fur kids are grieving so badly. Firstly, yes indeed pets will grieve when they have lost one of their siblings or pals. Since doggies and kitties have no concept of death and do not fear it (this is fact) then all they do realize is that their sibling or pal is not there anymore. The grieving process in doggies has different phases. Usually, but not always, the first phase is one called activation. This is when your fur kid doggie barks and continually patrols the property as if looking for the absent fur kid, feather kid or person. That phase lasts for a few days. This is usually followed by depression with reduced activity and loss of appetite. This period may last for several weeks. Eventually, periods of normal behavior are seen between times of depression until your doggie's behavior finally returns to normal. I'll tell you, Warren. When my Alex parrot didn't come home, my Buddy dog appeared not to be affected for which I am grateful. However, my Styx kitty cried, would go to where Alex's cage used to be and the cage's stand was still there. Styx would sometimes cry or at times silently stand, sit or lie down in front of the cage's stand and stare. He was mourning something fierce. Gradually it got better and better but it did take just short of three months before Styx kitty was completely back to normal. I really cannot predict how long your other babies will mourn but I hope it isn't any longer than Styx kitty did. By the way, I have had cats who "think they are dogs" in my past. Styx kitty is not one of them. He acts like a cat in every way. That's why I was so surprised at him mourning very much like a doggie would do. What your other four fur kids need at this time is activity and encouragement to move them along the process. When dealing with the loss of one fur kid, you have to be sensitive to the needs of the other fur kids in your family ... Especially if they have had a close relationship. Nobody who has ever gone through a bereavement with a fur kid doggie around will ever need to ask the question: Do Pets Grieve? It is the most obvious fact that they do. I'm so sorry, Warren. Please let me know if there's anything else I can do. By the way, if your other fur kids are mourning so horribly that it's affecting their health, your Vet can give them medication to help relieve their stress because that's just what they're experiencing: Stress. Poor babies! Please give them hugs and kisses for me. Okay? Sending Many Comforting Angels and Hugs to You Your Partner and Your grieving Fur Kids!!! ![]() ![]() ![]() Always, Dottie xoxoxox |

Warren and Chris,
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. I know it is a very difficult time and it may seem the pain will never go away, but over time it does. Just keep all the wonderful memories of your little furbabies close to your heart and when the pain seems too much to handle, just hand on to those memories and they will help you through this difficult time. I am so sorry to hear about Freddie's Mum passing. Sometimes we hurt how much hurt can be piled on us in a short time. But I am glad you have your others at home...that helps. Just give them lots of extra love and attention and in time I think they will be okay. They feel what you feel.
These babies always sense our feelings. I wish you peace and healing. I can picture Freddie and his Mum as Angels just sitting on one of those fluffy white clouds...looking down at their family ( you and your family), missing you but feeling good again cause there is no sickness in Heaven.
