QUOTE That playhouse is AWESOME!!!!! It comes in a TINY box half the size of a shoebox!!! It took me an hour to put it together. ME! Someone who keeps Dragon Lady's Jaguar running! No wonder my lawyer friendss got discouraged. QUOTE Iggy can invite all kinds of friends into his mansion. He looks so tiny and cute upstairs there. Is he having lots of fun with it? He just tried to attack me from it. But the cloth was slippery and he miscalculated and did a mid-air double flip and landed on his back on the carpet looking puzzled. ![]() QUOTE I did love those pictures of him on your shoulder, Jon. The second one looks like he is investigating your ear. He was BITING IT! Nom nom nom... QUOTE I just love him, Jon. So glad you "passed the interview". He really pulled my mood out of the cellar. A little bat-eared, pink-nosed clown. Every time I see something of Miles' and get sad, he seems to sense it and does something SO outrageous, the train of thought is broken. Just this minute: "Jon get YOUR CAT out of here, please-He just stole all Sam's food, farted, then kicked her out of her heated bed. QUOTE It feels SO GOOD to log out laughing! Thanks to you and Iggy! Now that people have explained why it is not improper for such a site, I am glad to be able to share his crazy antics. I just caught him licking PEANUT BUTTER off a used knife. I dunno about him. We have had cats for decades and I never saw one go after that! Miles enjoyed little tastes of sharp cheddar and Stilton. She had CLASS. Iggy wants peanut butter. *shrug* Well, he's just a kid. -------------------- Miles, my friend and Cat-Wife. 3-11-2008

Now that people have explained why it is not improper for such a site, I am glad to be able to share his crazy antics. I just caught him licking PEANUT BUTTER off a used knife. That's part of the beauty of LS. There is a place for everything. Enjoying laughter and new adventures............just feeling some happiness once again tells us life does go on. You talked about Iggy liking peanutbutter. Sometimes when I could not sleep when Goliath was still alive I would get up in the middle of the night and make a peanutbutter sandwich. Though nobody else ever woke up when I did that, HE DID. Down to the kitchen he would follow. Then we would sit together and I would share small pieces of it with him. Peanutbutter was his favorite treat. Today when I eat peanutbutter I close my eyes and smile. ![]() Falling asleep at night is peaceful and content. Life is good and all is well. QUOTE Peanutbutter was his favorite treat. Today when I eat peanutbutter I close my eyes and smile. That is why I am trying to preserve memories of Iggy's kittenhood. I am so glad I got the pictures of Miles and my other frineds! They are so consoling, because it's the good times we pay for. Like THIS: Know how we see something every day, and then stop noticing it?? This little stuffed Tuxedo Cat had been on my dashboard stuffed against the windshield for about ten years, following me from car to car as my commute wore them out. My wife bought it for me years ago from a gift shop at club we belong to. WELL! So I bought in the prophetic tuxedo today, and ended up with another issue of Iggy Funnies.

Update: Iggy now weighs 3.3 pounds.
I forgot how fast kittens grew. The Kitty Lady thinks his father weighs about 14-16. I had better teach him some manners, and quickly.. -------------------- Miles, my friend and Cat-Wife. 3-11-2008

Little Guy was 16 pounds and you can see from my avatar...there is a lot to hug there.
Yes, time to teach Iggy manners. I keep reading how what is cute when a kitten does it is different when they have grown up teeth and claws. They don't mean to hurt but they can anyway. Number 1 lesson....do not bite the humans on the ears. (Show him that picture as proof!) ![]() -------------------- LITTLE GUY - May 28, 1991 - Sept 10, 2007 - Always in my Heart.

I forgot how fast kittens grew. The Kitty Lady thinks his father weighs about 14-16. I had better teach him some manners, and quickly.. Manners? Manners? Hmmmmmmmmm.........we're working on that too with Browser and his little lady guest that is visiting. So far they have managed to demolish two of Goliath's plush toys in their tugs-of-war. This little lady guest of ours is a piggy just like Iggy. Perhaps between the two of us we could work out a regimen of prolonged aerobic activity. I loved what you did with that stuffed Tuxedo cat that you kept on your dashboard. Thought I was going to pee my pants when I started laughing so hard. You're right! These are the mementos that help keep us feeling alive and allow us to remember all the wonderful and happy times we had with those we have loved. Keep smiling and sending the laughter my way Jon! ![]() -------------------- Topics that include Goliath are:

QUOTE Yes, time to teach Iggy manners. I keep reading how what is cute when a kitten does it is different when they have grown up teeth and claws. They don't mean to hurt but they can anyway. Iggy has been handled a lot and is very relaxed until he gets a burst of energy. I was reading one Tuxedo Cat site, and one person calls theirs "Terror At Dawn". I solved the sleeping problem. Give him all he wants to eat at night and free-feed. A kitten has a higher burn rate than a cat, I guess. So I must remember, "Biting my nose at 2-4:00 AM means he is hungry." We woke up this morning all civilzed with him sweetly asleep on my pillow, instead of The Attack Game. He is otherwise so mellow that I actually clipped the rest of his claws while he was asleep, and only woke up on the last one. He likes to have his hands held anyway, so he will be a pushover for clipping. So I guess I will not be needing the pink fake fingernails after all, though it would be a hoot to see him in them. I'll wait till he's neutered so as to avoid an identity crisis. "Whaddya doing to me Jon...Think I'm some kinda SISSY or sumthin'??" He has assigned himself a Work Station. If I can get him off the camera cable, I can get this up. (sneak sneak sneak..) There: ![]() -------------------- Miles, my friend and Cat-Wife. 3-11-2008

They look so innocent sleeping, don't they? Just like an angel...so calm and peaceful...
one would not recognize the bundle of energy underlying that can be released..... looks like Iggy keeps you quite busy, Jon. I just ordered a portable camcorder..very small...sounds like good instant use...so I will see if I can get Lucky in a small video. I wish they had these when my 3 were around and..years ago...with my dogs... I would love moving pictures to watch. My dad years ago put my special dog on 8mm film. I have the films but don't know how to work the projector. well, keep up the photos of Iggy......every picture of him invokes a big smile from me. Thanks, Jon. -------------------- LITTLE GUY - May 28, 1991 - Sept 10, 2007 - Always in my Heart.

Thanks, Jon. I did bookmark the site and checked it out. It seems to say 10 cents foot for 8mm film. All I know is I have lots and lots of film from my Dad taking pictures.
I did get my little Pure Digital 30 minute Point and Shoot Camcorder today and have taken a few minutes of Lucky. I like the idea of seeing him on the TV and the PC but I have a few other things going on right now so I won't be learning all of its features yet. But I can see carrying it in a pocket cause it is small. The reviews seemed good. It is a PSV-351 30 minute Point and Shoot Camcorder. If I ever get to use it enough...I will post Lucky rolling around. But I will keep that other place bookmarked for future checking on my old films. Thanks again. IGGY and LUCKY RULES!!!!!!! -------------------- LITTLE GUY - May 28, 1991 - Sept 10, 2007 - Always in my Heart.

QUOTE They look so innocent sleeping, don't they? Just like an angel...so calm and peaceful... one would not recognize the bundle of energy underlying that can be released..... Snort. Last night at bedtime he was so looney that I was afraid he was going to hurt himself, but he quieted right down. He slept ALL DAY resting up to torment me, but it did not work, and he slept sweetly all night with his head on my shoulder. The reason he slept all day was we put the jingle ball in the bathtub, and he was fighting it all morning, and would keep going back after it every time he woke up. He also ate three cans of Tender Vittles. We gave up with the kitten food because he ignored it and stole all the other cats' food, anyway. Last night at suppertime we had a little plastic bag with turkey in it. We pay the cats "Protection" to stay out of our plates. He stuck his head into the empty baggie and was looking around with it on, and trying to eat from a plate, ignoring it. It looked like a little space helmet. We laughed and laughed and got it away from him quickly. A friend stopped by, a Mechanical Engineer. He saw Iggy tearing around the house, and said, "I know what you can do! You make make little lead booties for him so he would have to clump around!" ...... "Oh wait. Imagine the muscles he would develop and what would happen if he got them OFF after a few weeks!". -------------------- Miles, my friend and Cat-Wife. 3-11-2008

He was just on the chair, sitting behind me, chewing on my cellphone.
Heehee. I picked up the land line and dialled it. The ringtone for this number is a pipe band playing "Scotland the Brave"...it starts with a rattle of snare drums, then gets better. (Wife's ringtone- *shrug* Marry someone named Mary Stewart, and you have to live with the consequences. Like having her call me when I was in a library. On Purpose.). I do not know where he is. I did not have time to get the camera ready, but trust me, it would have won Funniest Home Videos. I think I had better go look for him to see if he is OK. He seems to be hiding. -------------------- Miles, my friend and Cat-Wife. 3-11-2008

You did talk about playing a pipe band and a tune Scotland. I am assuming you meant bagpipes and then couldn't find Iggy.
Now if this is true...then I do have to tell you that my 3 cats were scared to death of bagpipe music. Sometimes the news would show a funeral and bagpipes would play and our cats would leave the room so be aware Iggy just might pack his suitcase and let you know it is either the bagpipe thingy or him.....Jon's choice. By the way, I played the video that is still on the portable camcorder and it is of Lucky with his constant meowing and boy did he go nuts hearing this cat coming out of this pocket sized camcorder machine. Just wait until I play it on the big TV... He jumped into my lap and kept looking at where the sound was coming from. I always wondered how a cat would react to his own meow. In fact I was planning on just recording his on my cassette recorder/player and letting him hear it but this is better cause on the TV he will be able to see this long black cat rolling around and talking....talking..talking. Yes, Jon, these new babies are a joy and keep us distracted and busy, busy. -------------------- LITTLE GUY - May 28, 1991 - Sept 10, 2007 - Always in my Heart.

QUOTE Now if this is true...then I do have to tell you that my 3 cats were scared to death of bagpipe music. Cats can hear up to 65 KHz. This is probably why they suddenly stare and track things "That are not there"..they do not really do it to freak us out. It could be the neighborhood bat making his rounds. Given four sets of reeds running, there are probably harmonics and overtones to bagpipe music we do not know about. The fiddle produces a sawtooth waveform, very high in harmonics that go way above human hearing. I actually looked on an oscilloscope with an electret mike. Iggy is the only cat who is not terrified of the thing. The others ran away when they heard the latchs on the case. I mean, I'm no Natalie McMaster, but I'm not THAT bad....Maybe. Maybe Iggy's deaf! hahaha. ![]() ![]() "Touch this thing again I'm going for your FACE!" -------------------- Miles, my friend and Cat-Wife. 3-11-2008
