I haven,t written in a long while, but my heart is always with those of you who grieve.
I help at a no kill shelter for cats, and you grow to love them all!
Today a very special girl,(with many health problems) Amber, past over to Rainbow Bridge. The saddest part was that she was due to go to a home where she would have every possible medical treatment, and a life with much comfort and love.
Please pray for her and the girl who was to become her forever Mom, that they meet again in time.
She was loved very much, and we will all miss her deeply!
Thankyou all,
Always here in my heart,
Cindi

I'm sorry to hear about Amber. I know it would have been great to see her with a loving family. The only comfort I can offer is that she's waiting on the other side. She'll see you one day and the two of you will be together. I know you were the caretaker but that's enough. She still saw you as a mother figure and to her that's what you will always be. I do feel for the little girl too, hopefully she will find her fur baby soon.

Cindi, know how much people like you are admired by pet lovers like us. Most of us could not do the job for fear of 'getting to close' and fear of losing them. You provide a wonderful service. Thank you and may your heart's pain ease quickly. michaelT

Cindi,
I'm so sorry for your pain and that of the family Amber was to go to. It's a tragic, ironic thing which can find no easy reason for happening. If there is any small comfort to be had after this, it is that Amber knew till the end that she was loved and cared for. So many animals never have that kind of comfort at the end. I have no doubt whatsoever that you will all be reunited one day, and you are all in my prayers. Please come back and let us know how you all are. Take care - Barbara

Cindi,

I admire your courage and I know that there are many people who appreciate the love and care you give to the shelter cats and dogs who are waiting for the right person to take them home. Thank you for posting Amber's story and ensuring that she is not forgotten. My cat Nacho was also a shelter cat and I know that you are doing a great service in providing a temporary family to those pets who are in need.

SIncerely,
Linda

Cindi,
I am so sorry to hear of Amber's death, just as she was going to a loving home! But she is not suffering or in pain anymore and is in a safe and wonderful place. I feel for the "mom-to-be", she must be so devastated. I hope she knows Amber was reborn into eternal life and is thankful she had you in her life too. You're really an angel in disguise for what you do! All of those sweet babies in one place and thank God for places like that (no-kill shelters) -- that's where my Patches came from, lucky boy!
God bless you, St Francis would be very proud!!

To All:
Thank you so much for reading and replying to Little Ambers story. It is so good of you all to remeber her and all the other FurBabies that wait at Rainbow Bridge. She is in a pain free joyous place now, away from all the pain and illness she suffered. April, and her husband Nick, are to wonderful people that have given many hours of care to the cats at the shelter, and they were the ones who were to become Ambers forever parents, they are heartbroken. So please know that Amber has someone special coming to get her at Rainbow Bridge someday. As for all the kitties in the no kill shelters, please know that if they do not move on to forever homes, they are all our FurBabies in our hearts, and they will all have someone special to take them to heaven from Rainbow Bridge. We love them all, and take many of the sick and dying ones home with us, so they will have forever homes till the end.
God Bless you all and please know that although you suffer from your loss, your FurBabies are also close by. Cindi

I am so sorry to hear about your little Amber passing away.It sounds like she was a sweet girl who would have had a great home. She found love at that shelter from people just like yourself who give love to animals that would otherwise just be forgotten.Little Amber went safely to the other side and now she is no longer in pain. She knew you all loved her and she took that love with her.I will pray for you and for her would be foster mom.Maybe that foster mom will think about choosing another kitty to adopt and take home to love.I'm sure there are many others that would be lucky to have her as their mom.I'll keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
