Simba,

It's been one month today since I helped you with your journey to the bridge. Not a day has went by where I haven't thought about you and missed you so much. I fell asleep on the couch last night and woke up this morning and heard purring coming from where you used to sleep above me when I layed on the couch. Was that you laying there watching me sleep?

Thank you for sending "Simba II" to me. He has been such a great friend and helped my heart heal. He will never replace you though nor would I ever try to replace you.

I found some more pictures of you that I am posting here to show everyone smile.gif

When I layed on my couch this is where "Simba I" would lay... right above me on the top of the backrest

I think he used my weight bench more than I did!

He liked to lay in the closet and peek around the door

He loved windows. Wherever there was a window he would find a way to look out of it to see what's going on outside

Ahhh...Simba is so handsome and quite the yoga master?! I can see why you miss him.

I have fallen in love with red haired cats now.

He used to sit on his back legs with his front paws in the air. Kind of standing up like a squirrel. I wish I would have taken a picture of that but never got the chance. I was looking at pictures of Simba I & II today and notice some similarities. Of course alot of cats have the same habbits but this is funny smile.gif

Notice the similar habbits by "Simba I" above and "Simba II" below:

"Simba II" on the couch above me were "Simba I" used to lay all the time and actually smiling

"Simba II" at the same window and looking out the same way "Simba I" used to look.

There is no doubt in my mind that "Simba I" sent "Simba II" to me.

Simba's Dad,
I have no doubt Simba I sent Simba II to you. He knew that his p^^ing left a void in your heart that had to be filled. The purring you heard was him letting you know that he is pleased with your current arrangement. He was also letting you know that he is happy where he is.
The one month anniversary is a tough one. The problem is, when you love one as much as you loved Simba I, they'll all be tough. Believe me I know.
All the best to you and Simba II. May you have many happy years together.
Bless you all,
Steve
