Last friday my parents took bear for a ride. About 30 mim later my dad called for the vets number and told me bear was having troble breathing.After 4 hours of wating for news my dad calls me and tells me their at the aminal hospatil because the vet coundnt help bear. 2 hours later my perents come home and tell me they had to put him down. I didnt even get to see him it herts so much. Im not mad at my parents i just wish i could have seen him one last time.

I am soooooooooooo sorry to hear about your beautiful Bear!!!! I am very sad and I grieve with you..!!  He was a very beautiful & handsome furdog..... Very much so!!!!  Please, ALWAYS REMEMBER, HE WILL ALWAYS BE WITH YOU..... He lives on in your heart.... Please know that you have come to the right place.... If you had to come to a pet grief site (at all), then Lightning Strikes is the best one to come to..... We all know how you feel -- Just keep coming here, and writing your feelings down- Even if YOU don't think you're making sense. (In the beginning, I just kept rambling on & on....) What a beautiful dog Bear was. I'm so sorry about your loss.
I never got a chance to say goodbye to my dog either. I brought to the vet's never dreaming that she would die there. I thought she'd be home the next day. Thank you Steph. Im sorry about your luba. Bear finaly came home today.
Had to put him by the fire place untill his cross is ready.

Oh Chloe, I'm so sorry! How unexpected and heart-wrenching. You are probably going through so many emotions right now---disbelief, etc. etc. The grief process very complex.
I'm glad you found this site. We're all here for you! For whatever reason it was Bear's time to pass on, please know that he is experiencing just bliss now--no physical or emotional pain, ever. And you will be reunited. In the meantime, remember that love is a 2-way street, and Bear wants you to be ok, just as you would want him to be ok if the roles had been reversed. Thanks. I cant go into the living room any more with out crying he used to sleep in their and id alway hear his snores.
