GOD I HATE CANCER,
MY 12 1/2 YR. OLD BEAGLE HAD LYMPHOMA AND LIVER TUMORS ALL WITHIN 5-6 MO. CHECKUP. I JUST THOUGHT SHE WAS "GETTIN TO BE AN OLD GIRL DOLLY" I DID'NT FIND OUT TIL 2 DAYS BEFORE THE END. I CERTAINLY TOOK THOSE DAYS OFF AND SHOWERED HER WITH LOVE, FOOD ,ATTENTION, HUGS . BUT STILL IT'S LIKE IF ONLY YOU KNEW SOONER YOU WOULD HAVE STAYED WITH HER MORE , NOT THAT SHE WAS IGNORED; SHE WAS SPOILED. I FEEL SAD AND A LITTLE GUILTY OF NOT REALLY SPOILING HER FOR LIKE THE LAST MONTH OR TWO. DAMB CANCER ! IT CAN TAKE OFF IN LIKE NO TIME ~PETER JENNINGS~ HA , NEVER SAW A DOG SMOKIN ? BUT IT GETS SO MANY PETS.

I found out my 11 year old Beagle, Lady had Lymphosarcoma 2 weeks before she died. We put her through three rounds of chemo and I came home every day during lunch to see her. I still miss her terribly, but in some ways I am thankful that it didn't go on for a long time. It was so stressful watching her die, I could hardly stand it. At least she was playful until just three days before she died in my husband's arms at home with us.
