YES, YES, YES Animals do mourn!! Please read the help pages here in the website!! My Toto will come running looking for Zip if I jingle Zips tags. Toto will sit and cry, whine. He is so lost without his running buddy. The first 3 days Toto did not eat. Now, Toto will not go outside!! Toto and Zipper used to race to the back fence when I'd let them out! Toto also doesn't bark now either! He is totally different. That is why I'm going to the shelter in a week to see what I can find. Toto is so lonely, he has never been alone. So, yes, Beavis can mourn, and be lonely. I took the opportunity to grieve WITH Toto. Sometimes toto made it harder on me, but he needs someone too. So, please read the help topics here on the support page!!! Very informational for you!! I was shocked to read them. It described Toto to a Tee!! Keep a close eye on Beavis, and use him to help you grieve. It does help. Thanks for posting on this.......Zipppers Momma

Sly looked sooooo adorable in the Easter Basket....what a darling face........
I'm sorry to hear of your loss....

It has only been 4 days....so early & I understand that the pain is horrrible
at this time. It stinks!!!
Lil' Bevis is surely mourning the loss of his friend; they really do mourn, right
along with us...I'm sorry to Bevis too

Our Ernestine was put to sleep on 2/7/2004, and we miss her so much.
On the 4th week anniversary that she was gone, we went to a shelter and
rescued two teenagers....
Lucy & Yo-Yo ..... They needed homes badly.
And, the silence in our apartment was deafening.....

God Bless you and be with you through this difficult time.
Your Sly is over Rainbow's Bridge, and is with all our furbabies who have gone
on before him... There is no pain at all where he is at.

Please try & take care of yourselves; Sly would want that.

Love, Denise (Muffins)

p.s. I hope that it won't be long before Lucy & Yo are snuggling up like your Sly & Bevis did..
Maybe they do, when I'm not around to see it...

WOW- so much intelligence in those eyes. I get the feeling I'm looking into the eyes of a very old soul. I guess he taught you a lot of things.

biggrin.gif Thank you, Muffins, Shadded Dreams, and Slapfish. It has been 1 week now since our loss but it feels like it is still day one. We miss him so very much. Bevis seems to be doing good. We also have 2 other cats Cali and Baby Taylor ( female's) so he's not completely alone but, Sly was his best buddy. This is a picture of Sly in younger days he was around 6 or 7 mounths old and Bevis was 1 1/2. This was before we got Baby Taylor and Cali.
Thank You Again! smile.gif

Wow! I'm in love with Sly! Thanks for posting his very handsome pictures--especially that one of him in the Easter basket.

I'm so glad you and Bevis (and the others!) have each other.

Remember: Sly is experiencing only bliss... you will be reunited...

Love,

Little Girl's Mommy, Kathy
