Hello, I am new here. I just lost my dog Dylan unexpectedly on Saturday night(3/14). She was only 8 years old. Dylan was my whole life as I am a single female. We had a special bond. I am devastated. Does anyone know of any recommended reading that might be helpful with regards to dogs and the afterlife? Thanks in advance. Your help is much needed and appreciated.

Hi, Miki, thank you so much for sharing with us how you're doing. I'm so glad you have been able to find books that may be able to help you navigate your grief adjustment journey. Please let me try to reassure you that what you are feeling and experiencing is very normal deep grief - - very painful both emotionally and physically, yes - - still very normal. Particularly during the deep grief it can actually feel like you are losing your mind because of the deep sorrow - - which is one of the many reasons why this grief journey is referred to as a horror roller coaster ride. This is one of the many reasons why you need to remember you are among friends here who truly do understand what you are going through, and we are here for you for as long and as often as you need us.

I hope today is treating you kindly, Miki, and that you will have a peaceful evening blessed with your beloved Miki's sweet Living Spirit to comfort you. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how you're doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam
