Strider :( Options

Unexpectedly, our cat Strider died last night. He had just gotten a clean bill of health from our vet yesterday afternoon. He came home, played, ate, did normal Strider things... my husband and I went to find him before bed and found him dead in the litterbox.

We are devastated. We can't wrap our minds around how our healthy 6 year old black cat is dead. And I can't cope with the fact that he died in his litterbox, without us right there. We were HOME. How did we not hear him??????

The other cats are going to grieve terribly. Lancelot and Earl Grey were very close to him. They got to sniff his body before we took him to the vet, at least.

I don't... I have no words. I'm lost.

Hi, Kel, thank you so very much for sharing with us how your precious Karma, Willow, and Lancelot are doing. Like DannysMom and Tom's Dad, I too am very glad to share your good news that your precious Willow is progressing in her recovery, and that Karma is also making progress - - both under your and your husband's diligent loving care. The A/D food will not hurt either Karma or Willow. It is best to get food into them however you can at this stage - - and whatever you have in your larder that is healthy for them to have. Please let us know how things go with them.

I'm also very glad to know that your precious Lancelot is continuing to do well. I know seeing him so active warms your and your husband's hearts -- and is an inspiration to your precious Karma and Willow during this time of medical concern.

Kel, I hope today is treating you, your precious Lancelot, Karma, Willow, Earl Grey, and your husband kindly. Please know you, your precious companions, and your husband are in my thoughts and prayers, and please let us know how each of you are doing.
