I guess I'm a little sad and dissapointed that no one responded to my post earlier. I was hoping to get some support and comfort. I thought that was what this forum was about.
I shared that my husband feels I should be over my feelings by now about losing my Lucymae 4 weeks ago. I mentioned my husband self medicates himself every night so he does not have to feel his feelings as I do and I was feeling alone in my grieving. Sorry I am whining but it has been a hard time for me. Just wanting some extra support. Lynn |

It's not easy honey and I have found that men and women grieve in different ways. My husband has a tendency to compartmentalize while I am much more demonstrative. You don't just 'get over' the loss of a pet. You grieve them the way you do any family member. I highly encourage getting another pet - not to replace the one you had but more so to have another to love. I think it helps. Give the forum a chance
