Well, I have posted here about my boy Brutus dying. It has been 6 weeks now since the terrible tragedy. I also posted that he was going to be a daddy and I was thinking out keeping a pup....well the pups were born and only one male is left. The other 3 males unfortunately died right after birth.

I had gotten some wonderfula advice from several of you on the message board about possibly keeping a puppy of my wonderful Brutus. I am now struggling with something different..."What if the puppy doesn't look ANYTHING like my Brutus?" I wanted a puppy that has at least some of the same features as my boy. What if that doesn't happen?

Maybe the one boy that survived is a "sign" from Brutus that I AM to actually keep this little boy of his? I don't know? I am kind of rambling at the moment. Please forgive the rambling thoughts. I am very confused. He is precious though and looks dark in color as his dad.

Confused,
Thanks. huh.gif

Hi, rallytally, I'm so glad you now feel peace with keeping the son of your precious Brutus. Oh yes - - the journey of the infant years once again - - each day to be cherished, another lifetime of "Getting to know you, getting to know all about you, getting to like you, getting to hope you like me . . . " (A song from the musical "The King and I). May you both have a long and happy and healthy lifetime together.

As for the names, I would be partial to TItus for it's meaning is "honorable." But the choice of a name is very personal. I know you will settle on a name that will be a perfect fit for him.

Rallytally, thank you so much for sharing with us how you're doing. Perhaps sometime you will be up to posting a picture(s) of your new little fur child. Please know you and your little boy are in my thoughts and prayers.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam
