Lost my cat Chance last month and the Vet can't even tell me why. He was only 4 and a half years old and i am not dealing very well. He has been a member of my family since he was three days old.

Hi, Terry, please permit me to add my sincerest sympathies in the loss of your beloved Chance. Losing a beloved companion is never easy regardless of the circumstances or how long we have been blessed with the privilege of their company.

I truly am very sorry that your vet was unable to give you a definite diagnosis. Guilt, unfortunately, is a part of this grief journey, and it is one of the hardest emotions to reconcile. I am so glad, though, that your research has brought you some peace of mind, for this is what your precious Chance wants for you. He does not want you burdened with guilt and remorse, for these will truly rob you of your joy of having Chance's sweet Living Spirit forever with you in your heart and memories.

Terry, thank you so much for sharing your precious Chance with us. He is such a delightful little fellow, and I do so understand how robbed you feel with not having him with you longer. But it really doesn't matter how long we are blessed with our beloved companions' sweet precious presence for we will always want just one more minute, one more hour, one more day, one more - - lifetime - - with them.

Terry, one of the many things to remember during this grief journey is that you are not alone. Each of us are here for you for as long and as often as you need us. Please know you are in my thoughts and prayers, Terry, and please let us know how you're doing.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam
