My dear Bud Bud - I miss you so much. I knew the time was coming near, I could see it in your tired eyes. I am glad you were at home in familiar surroundings and that I was with you, holding you, when you took your last breath. It was so hard to see you go. I take comfort in knowing that you are now young again and running with the wind. You will forever be in my heart and I will always love you and miss you. Mom.

Truer words were never spoken..... "knowing that I'm not the only one feeling so lonely."

I've often said that my Flossie left a hole in my heart as big as the Grand Canyon!!!!!!!!!! Today is 7 months she's been gone but we had her over 17-1/2 years so I have lots of memories.

We now have lots of room for our new pets to roam and really wish Flossie had been here longer to enjoy that. She did get to enjoy the being outside all last summer but was not able to run and explore anymore. Like your Buddy, she loved to run also and did plenty of it for her first 3-1/2 years. Guess she got it out of her system for a reason as she was not able to do that after her discs blew out in her back. She did regain the ability to walk and even did some running after a couple of years but it was a feeble run. We often said she never knew she was crippled.

I came here a lot when I first lost her and it was sad but comforting. I could read and cry and would feel better after a good cry about her as well as the others people had lost. It does get less painful...... I guess that's what you call it......... I don't think of her 24/7 anymore and feel bad because she is no longer here. I do miss her, I do think of her every day but I also know she needed to leave and she was not a quitter her whole life so she had lived a full life.

14 years is a gift you'll always have. Dogs & cats are such loyal companions. Always glad to see you, always wanting to please, never critical if you do something they do not approve of. They depend on us to return the love and dedication thet they are so willing to give.

This place will be of great support even if you just read about others' stories. I am so glad I found this place and I know you will be too.
