One Week & I Still Hurt Options

Today has been one week since my Jasper puppy was hit by a truck and we had to make the horrible decision to send him on to God.

I can't stop replaying last Saturday over and over - seeing him off his leash across the street where he wasn't supposed to be. If only I hadn't called him to me.

I'm so sorry Jazzy! I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry, I'm so sorry . . .

When will the pain stop? When will I stop seeing things that remind me of his sweet little face? When will I feel normal again? I miss him so much, he was my baby boy. No matter how many tears I shed, the emptiness will not go away. I feel like a zombie walking through each day.

I'm so sorry. I don't really know what to say, except that I can relate to the raw, fresh pain you're in and the empty, hollow feeling deep in your gut that doesn't ever seem to go away. I'm sure your Jasper knew you loved him and did the best you could for him--don't blame yourself.
