Fair Isabeaux, only about 12 years old, snatched away in an untimely manner by Vaccine Associated Sarcoma, after radiation therapy and surgery, on July 27, 2006.

( Don't let your vet vaccinate between the shoulders blades! If a sarcoma develops in a leg, it can be amputated, and the cancer stopped, or at least slowed.)

Beloved Isabeaux, I still miss your big personality terribly; but I look forward to seeing you, Chelsea, Ruby, Miss Penny, little dog persons, Angus, Twink, and Tammy, and all the little guinea pigs when I cross over.

Hi, Kathleen

Were Isabeaux's eyes as green as they look in that first picture you posted? I just can't get over her eye color. It is so beautiful.

When I think of the losses here and when I hear a story such as yours....I'm afraid the first words that come to my mind about the situation are really curse words...particularly "darn"...only not that nice. It is so frustrating and unfair that I get mad first, do my "cursing", and then..can talk in a nicer way.

As far as cat-like things...I have a 4 picture cartoon strip taped to the top of my monitor. It is from a cartoon called Pickles. They have a cat and this one is all about the cat.

The first picture shows the cat looking out a window at rain and thinking...I love being indoors on a rainy day.

The second shows the cat saying...It makes me feel all warm and fuzzy.

The third one shows the cat being quiet.

The last one shows the cat turning around to the reader and saying....
What am I saying? I'm a CAT! I'm ALWAYS all warm and fuzzy!

It made me laugh when I first saw it and I had to tape it to my monitor..cause I really do agree that these sweethearts ARE ALWAYS all warm and fuzzy! smile.gif

In real life, I remember my babies sitting in front of a window watching the rain and as the raindrops hit the window and slid trickling down the window...they always pawed at the raindrops ...trying to catch them. That made me laugh. That to me was my cat-like thing..or at least one of them that I remember right now.

This is the Tributes Section and so do tell us more stories of your princess. And more pictures.
You can look at my special ones in this Section also and see it is easiest (I found) to post one picture per reply. Once you post a picture..the software in this forum wants you to wait 20 seconds at least and then it can process the next one.

Looking forward to seeing more of those gorgeous eyes and hearing stories of her favorite things to do.

Again, I am so very sorry about such a senseless loss (vaccine responsible). You two were so entitled to much more time together but when they are called to go...we never win that battle.
But we do win each day, month, and year....they are part of our lives. We are so grateful for having known them. As my favorite saying of a Mom is: The pain of losing them will never ever be greater than the joy of knowing them.

Hugs to you and your special Angel, Isabeaux

Hi, Judy! wub.gif

I'm sorry for the long delay in responding to your lovely post. I always cry when I visit this page, so I have to pick a time when I'm not going anywhere with a crying reddened face.

Yes, Isabeaux's eyes were really that gooseberry green shade. Although she's been gone for two years, I just can't seem to get over her loss, perhaps because it seemed so unnecessary. I have lost 3 other babies too, but all from naturally occuring diseases, cancer and kidney failure. Miss Penny was about 12, Ruby was 15, and Chelsea was 17. But I must say I evny those folks who cats lived to 20 or more -- how wonderful that would be!

I read the tributes to your 3 little black cats, Little Guy, Keeper, and Little Girl. What very beautiful cats they were! Did you know that black cats are the last to be adopted from shelters? Some foolish hangover from the superstitious past, I guess. Yours were so gorgeous with their long coats. I'm glad you had them for long amounts of time. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose one after only a few years.

Thanks for the description of the Pickles cartoon strip. I'll check and see if our local paper carries it.

I found a very funny site on the web called http://icanhascheezburger.com/. It's photos of cats and sometimes other animals with captions. You can sign up to receive the new ones every day. And, you can send in your photos to be captioned, or you can write your own captions.

I will post more photos of Isabeaux and the others when I get through with the lengthly processing to convert then to JPEG, then upload them to Photobucket. I take most of my photos in RAW, so there is a bit of converting to do!
