On Monday I had to have my best friend put to rest, and I am finding it very hard to get thru it. She went every place with me. I took her to Dunkin Donuts and they would give her plain munchkins, the banks would give her treats as well as our cleaners. She would ride in the front seat next to me and if I had other people they would have to ride in the back seat. She would have been 19 next month. I had her since she was 2. I got her from a shelter, and the people that had her before me had abused her. Every Xmas I would take her to the pet store to have her picture taken. She went to the groomer every other month. I know she is in a better place, but it hurts so bad. She has gotten her wings. Please help me .

What a beautiful, sweet girl. What is her name? I am so sorry she's not here with you physically in this world anymore. It makes the world such a lonely place for a long time without our best little buddies, I know. You took such good care of her and took her everywhere with you, so I know you miss her no matter where you go or what you do. My little Hannah used to sit in my lap or on my shoulder in the car, and I took her everywhere I could. You saved your girl and because of you, your beautiful friend had a wonderful life that she may not otherwise have had.
It's just going to take time and lots of tears and prayers, but it will get better, for the most part. Your girl is at peace now, and it's you who are hurting. Please keep coming here and read some of the other posts. Just knowing others understand the magnitude of your loss really does help and you can say anything you think and feel here. Take care, Marcia |
