Hi--My husband is Catholic and I am not. He just told me that it's okay to euthanize an animal because they don't have immortal souls. He said they don't go to heaven and I refuse to believe that way. Do all Catholics believe that animals don't go to heaven? I am hurting so badly because I love Brandi so much and I know she doesn't have long here. My heart wants to believe that someday I will be with all my babies in heaven or else why would God have brought them to me in the first place. Can you help me?
Thanks, Jyl |

One more thing. Many Catholic Churches have a day where they bless animals. People bring all sorts of pets, goldfish, goats, hamsters, dogs, cats, pigs, etc. Why would anyone think it necessary to bless some souless object? That would be kind of like blessing a chair.
Another bit of "proof" is that many people have had real signs from their pets after they have p^^ed away. This could not happen if pets were souless. Also, to me, it almost goes without saying that anything capable of love must have a soul. Daisy's Mommy |
