If you upset easily then you may not want to read this:
A few days ago a neighbor of mine who owns a self use car wash was cleaning up the place. She was dumping out the trash cans when she noticed a trash bag moving. She opened up the bag and there was an emaciated cat in it, shockingly still alive. She raced it to the local county shelter (non-kill) to try and save it. We don't know if it has survived. After hearing this I was so upset. I just don't understand this kind of cruelty (or any for that matter). So I ask when you play with your companion or lay together, or spend time, say just a little prayer for those who aren't as lucky. For those who are abused and tortured every day. For those who will know never know the love of a family or feel the safety of a home. Bless you all, Chris -------------------- Moo - I miss your walrus kisses.
Rocky - What a gift it was to have you in in our lives. My heart aches daily for you and I can't wait to see you again. ...love knows not its own depth until the hour of separation."- Kahlil Gibran |

Too bad that they cannot catch the evil person who did this. Animal cruelty is against the law and although the penalties don't seem harsh enough - it would be good if that person at least got arrrested.
I heard of a man who got three years for throwing a little dog into traffic after arguing with the dog's owner. The dog was hit by a car and killed. One person I know thought that the man should not serve jail time. It was only when I said that a person who would do such a thing is dangerous to humans also that this person agreed that some jail was appropriate. Personally, I thought a more severe sentence of at least 5-10 years was appropriate for this senseless act of violence. Daisy's Mommy |
