I phoned the rescue centre last night to see if they had any older cats that needs a home, now i have a lady coming to my house tomorrow to see if my home is suitable!!!! Im really scared that she will say no!!! oh am i doing the right thing!!! Has anybody ever had a home check and if so what are they looking for!!!!

Hi Sara,
I think you're absolutely doing the right thing. I think babybear led you to call about giving a loving home to a kitty in need, since he knows what a wonderful home you can provide! And I'm sure he knows that you really need another kitty there with you physically, even though he's still with you in spirit! I wish I could give you advice on what they're looking for in a home check, but probably they just want to make sure that it is relatively clean (showing that you're responsible) and that there is adequate space (like, you're not hoarding 50 other cats in a one-room apartment).
