I only had Jack for a short 7 years. He survived Chemo 2 years ago and did well until early summer. His heart just went into failure and he slowed down over a period of weeks and last sunday he just stopped in my arms. I stayed home during my vacation in August just to be with him. He is the youngest of my 3 dogs. The remaining two are large and elderly. I needed him to be around when they got old and went. He was the love of my life, my baby boy and all I do now is wake up soaking wet with dreams of total loss of everything. Little sympathy with friends or family. They all have partners or spouses or something. I had Jack and am lucky to still have my Golden and my Mutt mix. But the hurt is... Well, you all know. That's why we are here. Thanks for having a place to express. Couldn't even type last week.

You have to feel sorry for those that don’t sympathise, the reason is that they have never felt that unconditional love between to living beings, that is so sad for them.
You will never stop loving your babies, but the heartache eases and happy memories start to make you smile instead of bad memories making you cry. You are special people that have had your hearts touched with love your friends and family are should be pitied -------------------- Jude & Sadie, too well loved to be forgotten
