I spoke to a pet psychic today who told me that Teensie had passed on. She said that she missed me as badly as I missed her and when she asked her if she wanted to come back she was very eager to do so. Of course finding her will be the problem, but it gave me hope that I might be reunited with her again.

She told me a story of a friend of her's she'd counselled about a pet who passed. When she found a dog that she felt was her beloved pet returned in a new body she brought him home. He was completely comfortable in the house and liked all the same places as her previous pet.

Then I read another story about a woman who found her reincarnated dog in a shelter and when he got in the car he sat in the very same spot as her dog had and did a lot of the same things.

Have any of you ever felt like a pet returned to you in another body? Have you ever hoped for such a thing?

I have noticed that Oscar has some incredibly familiar habits that both Edgar and Jesse used to have. When the heater/fan comes on in the living room, Edgar used to sit in front of it and bask in the heat. So does Oscar. Jesse used to reach out and touch my face to wake me up - so does Oscar.

Perhaps we are projecting, but in the end it does not matter. What matters is that I love my new little one and I miss my other two passed on ones. If they chose to come back, then wonderful - I hope wherever they are they experience the same love and joy I tried to bring to them.

And if they are waiting for me I hope they are playing and being patient and being good.
