I had to take him back to the vet this morning. He is not eating or drinking, and is vomiting. They suspect distemper. He was already hit hard by the parvo, and his immune system cant withstand it. I got the call from the vet 10 minutes ago - he is vomiting blood and not expected to make it through the night. We will have to put him down. He is so young, only 4 months, he never got a real chance to have a good life. I'm sure I will break down at the clinic. Im just waiting right now for my fiance to come over and go with me to see him one last time. He was only with us a week, but I already loved him so much. I am devastated.

that is terrible news. i'm so sorry. it's just not fair that such a young dog who was loved so much can be taken away in the blink of an eye. jackson knows that you did try very hard so that you could be together. the poor puppy is probably in so much discomfort - you are making the right decision - please know that. you are freeing him from his pain. at least jackson found someone that would be so kind as to free him from the discomfort that he is experiencing. i think that martina is right - maybe jackson was sent to you so that you could love him and set him free, and that is your role in his short life. at least he can leave this world knowing that he is loved, because so many do not. thinking of you, ah

I lost my best friend, Kitty Friday, February 11, 2005 to chronic renal failure after 14 years of growing up together. I miss her so much. I love you more than anything Kitty.
