Hi ya'll. I've been meaning to get on and respond to many of your posts, but it's just been crazy with moving and everything. Now, I just got settled in a few days ago, and Hurricane Ivan is coming here. I am only a block and a half from the Gulf of Mexico, so Maggie and I are going to a friend's house.

Please pray for me, Maggie, my brother and his two children, the rest of my family, my friends and my neighbors. This is going to be a bad storm, but I hope and pray we will all be okay.

Love and Hugs to All of You.

Hi Marcia,

You and all your family (pet and human) are in my prayers. Keep us informed as to how everything turns out---you know we really care.

Thinking of you,

Marcia,

Prayers are coming your way from Maine, too. When I heard that on the news earlier tonight, I thought of you.

Please keep us posted!

Love,

Kathy

My thoughts are with you - I have complete confidence that you will be okay.

As a side note - please be very careful with candles and other combustible things of that nature. The most dangerous things are sometimes the things we don't think of - and in a storm it might be better to cuddle in the dark singing some campfire songs than set a fire with a candle or lantern...

Thanks so much ya'll. We appreciate it. I went to my aunt's instead of my friend's in Mobile. My aunt is 85 years old and lives in a big retirement building, six stories high. We are on the 3rd floor in a concrete block, (steel supported, I think) building built during World War II, so it withstood Hurricane Camille. However, there is NOTHING between us and the Gulf, but we are pretty far back. Will probably go into the hallway during the bad part of the storm, although the hurricane force winds are expected to last for 12 hours!

Anyway, THANKS REALLY, for the prayers. I am in Biloxi, Ms, just so you'll know. I had so many things to tell you all, things I've wanted to say in response to so many of the posts. I think about all of you and pray for all of you every night. I feel I know so many of you so well, and I know you know me better than most of the people I've known for a long time.

I have to say, Maggie has been a huge comfort to me recently. We have begun to get pretty close. She gets happier and happier every day to see me, and I feel the same way about her. She is here with me (sneaked in just like Hannah and Babe have been before and would be again!), and she is and has been recently such a comfort. At first, I felt I had to hold back some with my affection, but now, not so really because I believe God and Hannah somehow did send her to me. It is really scary here, and it does change my perspective somewhat. I am alive, and I hope to stay that way! I do still miss my little children, Hannah and Babe, but I now understand what all the poems, etc., have been trying to tell us. I AM alive, and I need to reach and love and live while I am alive.

I imagine phone lines, electricity, etc., will be down later tonight, but I'll try to check in before that happens. I love you guys. Thanks again for everything.

love,
Marcia

Marcia,

I am a bit late replying. I hope all is well and you made it through OK. When you get a chance let us know how you and Maggie.

Hugs,
Beth
