I just want to take this time to thank everyone who so warmly passed on words of support and understanding in answer to my first post.

I know that a blanket reply may seem so cold, but please know that in my heart, I am grateful for the time that you took while still in grief to post to me. I wish that I had it in me to reply personally, but today is a tough one. A week ago this evening that I last held Winnie as she was finding breathing so hard and I had to make that decision...

Please know that I read your posts and feel for you...my eyes moisten as I think about your sadness...I know that your grief is as deep as mine.

Thank you, everyone, and know that I am holding you up in cyber support.

Joe

You are very welcome I am just so thankful we have LS where we can all comfort each other. Where we can find comfort and healing as we heal from our heartbreak.

My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart.
Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings.

Joe,
I am so grateful we all have LS to come to.
We all know the agony and pain of loss.
Sometimes its just a comfort to come here and read about others or write our own stories.
There are times when we see others' sadness and just don't have the strength to respond,
but remember them in our thoughts and prayers.
Whatever the case, sharing our grief and knowing we are not alone helps get us through the "really hard days".
The one week week anniversary of your loss of Winnie is a tough one and I feel for you on this sad day.
I hope you will continue to come to LS as we are all here for each other.
Thinking of you
Fran
