QUOTE (Gretta's Mom @ Jun 20 2011, 02:03 AM) *
Hello Cheryl

Happy "every day" to you and your adorable bunny Daisy. Won't it me wonderful when we reunite with them and there will be no more TIME, just eternity to love and be loved!

Getting there ....

Gretta's mom

Hello Gretta's Mom,

Thank you for your thoughtful words. What you said actually reminded me of a poem that I wrote for my Daisy. I will copy and paste it here in hope that you too will gain some comfort from it smile.gif ---

"I want to believe
In Heaven's Sweet Gate
Where you, my Angel, eagerly await
For me to join you
Together again
For an eternity of love
Free from worry or pain

I'd spend all my time
Just holding you near
Kissing your nose
Scratching your ear

We'd play all the games
That you loved to play
With no interruptions
No, "Mommy can't stay"

And oh what a joy
How happy I'd be
Finally complete
Finally free

Yes, I DO believe
In Heaven's Sweet Gate,
Where you, my Angel, eagerly await
For me to join you
Together again
For an eternity of love
Free from worry or pain"
Written by: Cheryl

Isn't that a lovely, comforting thought? That one day we will be together again forever? With no worries about illnesses etc? smile.gif

I'm so pleased to hear that you're "getting there". One day at a time, Gretta's Mom. I'm right here with you.

Take care,
Cheryl xx

Oh Cheryl

Thank you so much for the beautiful Daisy-poem. It brought tears to my eyes (which is making my psychic dog Rufus get up and come on over to put his nose between me and the computer in his clumsy, loveable boy-dog way to comfort me). Thank you for being with me as I go day by day along this road. Like you, I truly, TRULY believe that we WILL be reunited with our spirit animals in the Perfect World.

I'm a big fan of old (OLD) blues, bluegrass and gospel music and since Gretta's home-going I have been making up Gretta-words to some of them. One of my favorites is to the tune of "Hobo's Lullaby" sung by all the old folkies, especially Woody Guthrie (you tube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NN_xvE79iXE)

Here are the Gretta words:

CHORUS
Go to sleep my weary human
Let the tears fall from your eyes
Can’t you hear us doggies playing
That’s the soul-dogs’ lullaby.

VERSE 1
Don’t you worry ‘bout tomorrow
Let tomorrow come and go
Tonight you hug a soft warm pillow
And a piece of (Gretta’s) soul

VERSE 2
I know that sickness took me from you
It causes trouble everywhere
But when you die and come to heaven
There will be no sickness there.

VERSE 3
Though the road by rough and rocky
And your heart be filled with pain,
When you come up here to heaven
We’ll be together once again.

We WILL be reunited ... and we're working as hard as we can to be worthy of that! Thank you for the beautiful thoughts and poem, Cheryl. Together we stand!

The lyrics to that song are just PERFECT and oh so true. Thank you for sharing, it's so inspirational.

I hope you're having an 'okay' day today. Bless Rufus for being so in touch with your emotions. And bless your darling Gretta for sending him to you.

Big hugs,
Cheryl xx

Hi, Cheryl, thank you again so much for sharing your beautiful poem to your precious Miss Daisy with us. Noah is doing well, and I'm doing better. I have been struggling with new computer "issues" over the last few days which has not been a fun activity at all. But at least I'm functional now and I can once again do something POSITIVE with this gizmo.

I hope life is treating you and Franky kindly these days. Even though I may be temporarily waylaid by "technical difficulties" please know you are always in my thoughts and prayers, my friend, and look forward to knowing how things are going with you.

Peace and blessings,
moon_beam

Hey Cheryl,
Thought of you today. A year later I still think about Kajoor everyday and life without him at times still doesn't make sense. Thanks for posting your notes to Daisy smile.gif They are exactly what I want to say to KJ. Hope all is well with you!

Hi Rachna,

Thanks for stopping by. Funnily enough, I was thinking about you today too, and wondering how you were doing. Yes, I still think about Daisy everyday too, and I hope I always will. It's our way of keeping them here with us -- maybe when they randomly pop into our thoughts it's because they're paying us a little visit and saying hello? Before they go back to their playtime at the Bridge smile.gif

Thanks again for your message. I hope you're well? Hugs to you and your angel KJ, from me and my angel xx

Hi LoveMyMickey,

Thank you so much for the thoughtful note and birthday wishes, that's so very sweet of you. I know your Mickey is smiling down on us now and thinking, "Yep, that's my thoughtful Mom" smile.gif I had a great day, thank you. I'm so lucky to have a wonderful Fiance, and wonderful family and friends, who made it special. Of course, I missed my Daisy a lot -- you know how it is, you always seem to miss them that little bit extra on special occasions. But I know she was right there with me in spirit.

I do hope you're doing okay these days. I don't post as much as I used to, but I still think about you, and others on this forum, often.

Big hugs, Cheryl xx

Hi Cheryl...You are so very welcome. I'm so glad you had a great birthday. I'm sure too, that Daisy was right there with you, maybe wanting a bite of something, or just a cuddle with mama.

I'm doing okay, I have my good days and then a bad day will pop up. I hope you and family are doing well. I think I remember you will be going to school? Anyway, good luck with your studies.

Stop by when you can....God Bless...

Hugs,

LoveMyMickey

Hi Cheryl,

Your Daisy was SO cute!! I laughed out loud when you said she thought she was a dog. My aunt had a cat like that. Animals are funny, that's for sure. I love your poem and Gretta's mom's song. So sweet. I hope you are having a good and peaceful week.

Much love.

Hi Rae,

Thanks so much for stopping by. You're right -- animals are funny, I only wish there was some way of knowing what goes on in their little heads. That's cute about your Aunt's cat. I currently have a little Dwarf Hamster who thinks that he's a .... well, I'm not sure what he thinks he is, but he's unlike any hamster I've ever had (and I had quite a few when I was growing up!). He comes to you when you call his name, he coo's like a pigeon when he's eating something he really enjoys, and he actually purrs like a cat when you're holding and stroking him. He's such an oddball, but so cute smile.gif

Rae, thanks again for your post, and I wish you and your gorgeous new additions lot's of fun and happiness together.
You're in my thoughts.
Cheryl xx

Hi Daisy

Thanks for hopping around up there in the Perfect World so everybody can see the MOST gorgeous bunny who has even been! Your mom's found a whole bunch of friends down here who have fur-babies up there living with you. I'm sure all the doggies have chased you by now, but, hey it's the perfect world and they don't do it seriously and you don't get worn out and I'm sure after all that exercises you all just lie down together and brag about your humans.

Keep sending down those good wishes and guidances and loves .... oh how we all need them from our fur-babies who've "made it."

Thanks heaps - and here's a great big carrot for you. (Daisy, Could you clear something up for me, please? Do bunnies actually love carrots or is that just something we human thought up? Thanks much.)

Your truly,

Gretta's mom

Hi Gretta's Mom,

Thanks for your lovely note to my little Daisy. I know she is smiling as she 'feels' your thoughts and words. I know I smiled when I read them smile.gif Daisy says thanks for the carrot. Yes, she does enjoy carrots very much. Here in the Earthly World, she was only allowed the odd one as a treat, as they're high in sugar content and too much can be bad for them, and lead to weight issues. However, she doesn't have to worry about that in The Perfect World, so she is so happy that she can eat as many carrots as she wants! smile.gif

Daisy says she's going to find your Gretta now, and tell her about your note, and how wonderful and thoughtful her Mom is. Together, they will look down on us both, and send us love and positive vibes.

Take care of yourself. You and Rufus are frequently in my thoughts.

Hugs, Cheryl ... and Daisy xx

Hi Cheryl

Just stopping by to tell you that every time I think of your Daisy and especially when I look at her little picture - a big smile comes to my face. She's the most beautiful bunny who ever lived. Thank you for reminding me that our animal friends include many more "people" than just doggies and kitties.

Keep well.

Hi Gretta's Mom,

Thanks for stopping by. I'm so glad my little Daisy makes you smile -- she makes me smile every single day, even now. I smile too when I think of your sweet Gretta and how you describe her as "the kindest chocolate Lab that ever lived"... I just know how sweet and gentle she is and it warms my heart. We are two very lucky people to have met these souls and to have loved, and been loved, by them.

I have included another pic of my Daisy, falling asleep, all cosy in her bed, cuddling one of her favourite teds (unfortunately, it was taken on an old cell phone so the picture quality is not very good). I hope this brings another smile to your face and heart.

Thinking of you, Cheryl xx

Hey Cheryl,

Time sure goes by, huh? Over a year now...unreal. Well, you are still hanging in there. In one of your posts you said it makes you smile to think of Daisy...that's quite an accomplishment and achievement compared to where you were last year.

Early this morning, (getting close to 16 months now without Kota), I had my FIRST dream ever of her. She was young, and I was holding and hugging and petting her, and so happy to see her. Then reality...waking up...and I just sobbed, and now I can't shake it . Don't know what else to say. You know I always wish you well.

Dennis
