Hey Rhapsedy. I got your reply on my post. I totally understand. And for what you just posted here, I totally understand that too. It helps to know I'm not the only one but I'm sorry that you're feeling this way. I just can't even reply much to people these days. I get on the forum and I can feel my face fall. I wonder, too, if I'll ever be normal again.
I'm thinking about you and hoping we'll feel better.

I'm sorry you're still feeling this way... time does heal this kind of hurt but unfortunately with some it takes longer than others. When Winston died the hard, crushing grief for me ended in about a week, but yesterday it hit me again and I choked up a bit, think about him and his antics.

We're all here for you and you're in my thoughts, especially now during this difficult time.

Hi Rhapsedy,

Sorry to hear that you've been feeling sad over the last couple of days. It is, however, completely understandable. The grief journey certainly is a rollercoaster of emotions, with ups and downs, then a long steady run, and then -- bam, you come tumbling back down again. In terms of ever feeling "normal" again, I think that's a difficult thing to answer. You will never feel the "normal" you felt when you had your Callaway and Brando. I think over time you sort of develop a new "normal". The loss you've experienced means you will never be the same person again. But I truly believe through surviving it, you've become a stronger, more human person - and you have been blessed with the precious love you shared with your boys, and you will carry that with you always.

You're in my thoughts.

Cheryl x

Rhapsody,

Just letting you know I'm thinking of you, Callaway and Brando. Seems like, what WChamilton said, that it's different times of grieving for all of us. 3 months for me now without Kota, still in despair over her leaving me. I too don't know what normal is. Sometimes I look at her pictures and have to turn away. I know it's real now that they are gone from us, yet my mind still wishes for her to magically be back home, waiting for me. There really are no words to comfort the loss you feel. Just that I, and others here, are with you each step of the way...hoping for a moment of normalcy and relief. Peace to you and your "kids".

Hi Rhapsedy
I am thinking of you. I know exactly how you are feeling. I too had a bad couple days the past week. I guess
this is what you call normal any more. Please know my heart goes out to you and you are in my thoughts along
with Callaway and Brando. I hope our angels are comforting each other as well.

Hugs
Anna

Hi Rhapsedy, thinking of you and your angels. Next week we are going on vacation to Muskegon State Park....last time I was there was with Brutus, I still miss him so much...Boating just hasn't been the same this year, I'm sure you are feeling the same way.

Many hugs and Love,
Sonya

Hi Sonya,

I love Muskegon State Park, we used to go there every summer. I hope that you have a wonderful vacation.

I have only been on the boat 5 times this summer. sad.gif It's just not the same without Callaway and Brando.

Love,
Rhapsedy

I don't know why I never noticed this before but I LOVE the picture of Brando you have as your avatar. Anyone who says dogs don't smile for any reason other than to pant to cool off is full of it. smile.gif

That's my other dog Callaway... he smiled all the time and it was because he was so happy. smile.gif
