We've had some bad news today. After two vets disagreeing as to whether Foxy had bone cancer, they did a biopsy and unfortunatley it is cancer. She had the biospy two weeks ago an hasn't been the same since. She hasn't really eaten for two days, and she's sleeping most of the time. We've made the devastating decision to have her put to sleep, and we're taking her later today.

I'm heartbroken, I was really hoping that the original diagnosis was wrong although I knew deep down it wasn't. She has declined over the last few weeks and I just can't see her get any worse. I've told her that her pain is going to go away, and to come straight home to us - as I believe they never leave you.

Please pray for her, thanks, Irene.

Hi there Irene,

Oh I am so sad to hear about your dog, she is beautiful. What a terrible decision you have to make today. I am so sad for you, but just remember that your sweetheart will not be in pain anymore, that is what I try to tell myself about my doggy (does not help much, but a little).

My heart breaks for you. Here's to giving you strength to get through the next while, it will be hard on you, but just try to remember how happy your doggy was before she got ill, also hard I know, but necessary!!

I am thinking of you on your very difficult day.

Moira

Thanks Moira, I'm trying to be strong but I can't even look at her. The house will seem so empty without her.

Dear Foxy and FoxysMummy
I was so sad to see your posting just now, I so hope and prayed for you .Foxy is a beautiful lady and shouldn't have to endure pain and suffering. As you say she will be back with you, I truly believe that , and she knows how much you all love and care for her. It is the hardest but kindest thing that you could do for her and my heart goes out to you. My Angels and I will be thinking of you and sending hugs.

Love Jan and my Angels, and Pixie xx

Foxysmummy, I am so sorry about Foxy. My heart goes out to you today & in the days ahead. I know you are facing the hardest thing ever right now. I felt when we put Frasier to sleep last August that my heart would either pound right out of my chest or just stop beating altogether as I waited for the vet to come to our house on Frasier's last day. My prayers are with you this afternoon.

I am so sorry that you lost your sweet girl, she is so beautiful! Just remember that you gave her a great life for 3 1/2 years, I know it wasn't long enough but she will always be in your heart.
