4 years ago today I lost my Leroy - he was an 18½ year old Maine Coon. Few humans have ever been honored with such a companion - clown, investigator, mess-maker, and trouble maker extrodinairre. I can hardly believe you have been gone this long. Your picture hangs above me with the caption - "Miss You Mom". God knows I miss you too sweetheart. Your buddy Richard visited your grave today - he not only remembers you, but his girlfriend lost her Eskie today also. I know you feel their pain Leroy - and if you were here, you would surely try to comfort him. I know you are always with me now- watching over all of us - including your two brothers and a sister that we have adopted over time. You are one of a kind Leroy and we forever love and thank you for all the joy you brought to our lives.

What a beautiful Tribute you've made in Loving Memory to your Fur Kid Angel Leroy. He's truly a special Angel and most unique. I love all animals and have a cat, dog and parrot. Maine Coon cats are a favorite and your beloved Leroy is so very cherished and loved!

Of course, you will always carry his Heart in your Heart.

Remember that his star will always burn brightly and that time can indeed be transcended. He's always with you and only just a breath away. A breath is not very far at all to where you are right now. I'm certain Leroy is watching over you and your family.

Dottie - thank you so much for your kind words - it means more than you can know. I searched to find this site the day after Leroy died. My husband built a beautiful box to bury him in with a few of his favoite toys. I buried him behind my garden shed since he loved flowers, bees and butterflies. I want my ashes to be sprinkled above his grave. My husband gave me two babies on my birthday, 12/16/2005 - 2 brothers who were the only 2 in their mother's litter - Murphy and Floyd. We also adopted a stray in Ortober 2008 who found her way into the garage and almost died when we had her spayed - Lucky is she and what we named her. These babies give me so much to live for and I love them all - Leroy would have wanted it this way.
I've been told Leroy is french for "The King" - king of this house and our hearts. I honor him by loving his brothers and sister as much as I love him.
As much as I love my babies, there will only be only one Leroy.

That is all so very beautiful! I'm so happy that you got Murphy and Floyd from your husband as a birthday present on 12/16/2005. And, Lucky kitty sure is lucky to have found you to be her Fur Kid Mommy, too. No doubt about that. How wonderful for you and your husband to lay Leroy to rest where he so loved to be. Since I couldn't find a photo of your Angel Fur Kid Leroy, I sure do hope this is close as it is a Maine Coon Cat. I put him in a garden with flowers and butterflies and there is a bumble bee in the top image. I hope you enjoy the video I selected to honor Leroy plus it brings him some fairy cat friends. Well, virtually speaking and that's Purr-fect. Remember, he's only a breath away, Karen. Honest!
