Your siblings were all adopted, and you were left along, It was meant for us to find you and so we took you home. Kittens are rare in winter, you turned our hearts to putty, you soon became Mommy's little King, and Daddy's little buddy. We'd play games everyday, and you would crawl on my chest to snooze, and that was when I, fell in love with you. I couldn't wait to go to Daddy's house, knowing you'd be there, you'd always come to greet me, with your tail high in the air. To watch you run and play, filled my heart with joy, you showered us with love, you were such a happy boy. Wide eyed with excitement, you'd play all day and night, my precious little cat, had such a love for life. I'd search for you at night, in a panic state of mind, only to find out, you were behind me the whole time. I tried to grab a hold of you, as you would run past, you thought you were hiding from me, when you buried your face in the grass. I let you go to heaven, to take away your pain, I prayed your angels to guide you, my Whiskers and Daisy Jane. I miss the noise you'd make, when there was something fun to chase after, I always use to say, that was Arthur's little laughter. I miss that little trot you had, and how you smacked your food, I miss the way you arched your back, when I chased you across the room. I want so much to hold you, and pet your silky fur, I want so much to kiss your face, and listen to you purr. I heard a noise in the bush today, I thought it could be you, a bunny hopped out and startled me, the way you use to do. I heard a noise in the tree today, I looked up to see your face, but it was just a little squirrel, that decided to take your place. I heard a noise in the leaves today, I peeked to see your eyes, but it was only chipmonks, amongst the dragonflies. It's rained a lot since you left us, and my smiles are but a few, those raindrops must be your tears, to tell us you miss us too. If I Could Have One Wish, I turned back the time, and protect you from that dreadful day, and you would still be mine. I have to go bye byes now, be a good boy, stay out of trouble and don't go far, I'll see you tomorrow. I love you.

The pictures and the words....are all so very beautiful. That picture of Arthur as a kitten and then as a "grownup"...oh, so priceless.

You are so right, Ann....ANYTHING regarding these special babies can never ever be long enough.

what a beautiful poem! i bursted into tears at the part where u said," It's rained a lot since you left us, and my smiles are but a few, those raindrops must be your tears, to tell us you miss us too". Your angel is beautiful. i was relating my acorn to alot of what you said. it was a thunderstorm the night acorn passed and the day sebastian passed. i dreamed of thunderstorms just before. i wonder if they do miss us like we miss them or if they are happy where they are. it has rained alot this summer too and maybe it is their tears. everything reminds me of acorn too. i still expect him to be there. thank you for sharing such a beautiful poem

I'm glad you like it, and yet I'm sorry it made you cry. Your tribute touched me very much too. I've been thinking lately about how my baby was with us. He trusted no one but us. He was afraid of anyone that came near and if there is a special place that he is at, is he still fearful, does he feel alone, is he trying to reach for me for comfort? That's how he was, how I remembered, and I can't reach out to him, I can't find him and I worry and I'm scared for him. And he's probably right next to me. I felt a tickle on my leg tonight, it felt like a bug, I looked down, nothing there. Maybe it was his little whisker, I'd like to think so. Ann
