Rest in peace Lois 1996 - 2008
May you forever rest in peace, lois. I will always remember the first day I laid eyes on you, What a sweet puppy you were, They said you were the runt of the litter, But I had never seen a more beautiful chihuahua With balloons tied to those big ears, I couldn’t stop thanking the stars up above For a sweet puppy such as you A young girl I was, So much hope in our hearts Twelve years later We watched life change before our eyes So many memories Now tears are their disguise As I try to figure out why, oh why, Did my sweet lois have to go That little growl That little dance Those little eyes But that enormous heart Lois, so sweet and lovely I guess I will never know why in LIFE things work out this way All I know is that right now I’m crying you an ocean so that one day I may swim back to you. The passing of one we love so much is so agonizing and so hard to get used to them not being here. God gives us his creations to love and only He decides when their times come for them to go home to Him.
I could hear the love in your words to Lois. The ocean of tears you cry will lead you, in time ,to a place of acceptance. I know that it doesn't seem possible right now for you, but the endless fountain of tears are necessary to begin your journey to working through the grief and devastation of not being able to be physically be beside Lois here in this world. Tell me and others all about Lois. The more you share, the more others can share with you as well. Together we can all grow together and know we have been blessed by the joy of being able to experience such a love, for many people never receive that special everlasting gift in their lifetime. It is a beautiful letter to your baby. Years ago God created a sweet puppy who captured your heart and became a part of you. Now He has created an angel who will be with you always and watch over you.
If you have any pictures or stories about your baby, there are many here who would love to see them. As you look through this forum you will see so many beautiful babies who hold a special place in their person's heart. We look at these pictures and can smile knowing they represent a happier time. I am sure in the many years you had Lois you have some wonderful pictures you would like to share with us. Welcome to the forum and please don't hesitate to post when you feel like writing. It is a step toward healing. Thank you for the beautiful poem to Lois. I know your pain. I also, did a lot of growing up with Hailey and Comet. They helped me through my tears and shared in my joys. They were there for my wedding and welcomed each of my kids into the world. Comet loved to sleep on my pregnant belly, even though he'd be getting constantly kicked!  Welcome to the boards. Thank you to all for your kind and comforting words. It has taken me a while to respond, as I have spent a lot of time reflecting on my life and the life of Lois, who left me too soon I feel. It is a pain that is unbearable, it is hard to believe that such a pain exists. I know everyone on this board has lost a furry friend and understands that pain. In that way, we are not alone. And in many ways we are not alone, even after the passing of our beloved pets, we will always hold them close to our hearts. They will continue to live always, within us.
