If you upset easily then you may not want to read this:

A few days ago a neighbor of mine who owns a self use car wash was cleaning up the place. She was dumping out the trash cans when she noticed a trash bag moving. She opened up the bag and there was an emaciated cat in it, shockingly still alive. She raced it to the local county shelter (non-kill) to try and save it. We don't know if it has survived.
After hearing this I was so upset. I just don't understand this kind of cruelty (or any for that matter). So I ask when you play with your companion or lay together, or spend time, say just a little prayer for those who aren't as lucky. For those who are abused and tortured every day. For those who will know never know the love of a family or feel the safety of a home.

Bless you all,

Chris

I don't think I will ever understand how people can do this to animals. My best friends husband was driving one day, and the truck in front of him rolled down the window and threw out a tiny little kitten (didn't even appear to be old enough to be away from her mother). He stopped, picked up the kitten, and she is now a spoiled sweet little girl named Angel. She sheds a ton, talks a lot, thinks she owns the place, and is just the sweetest thing I've ever seen. Angel has a lot of health problems, collitus (spelling?) being one major issue, but with a little extra $ being spent on some powder for her food she is much better and generally a great cat.

We don't throw out our family because they are ill, we don't throw away a child when it's born with a disease or disability... I don't get what makes people think it is ok to throw away an animal. When you take an animal in you are not only responsible for them, but for any offspring that you ALLOW to be born into this world (and I say you allow it because there is a wonderful thing called spaying and neuturing, if you don't get it done and your animal gets pregnant, it is YOUR fault, case closed). It makes me so sick to my stomach to hear of stories such as this... I would do anything for just one more day with Freeway... And yet thousands of people throw animals away like last weeks garbage. I can only hope that karma will one day soon come to bite them in the butt and they'll get what they rightfully deserve.

Too bad that they cannot catch the evil person who did this. Animal cruelty is against the law and although the penalties don't seem harsh enough - it would be good if that person at least got arrrested.

I heard of a man who got three years for throwing a little dog into traffic after arguing with the dog's owner. The dog was hit by a car and killed. One person I know thought that the man should not serve jail time. It was only when I said that a person who would do such a thing is dangerous to humans also that this person agreed that some jail was appropriate.

Personally, I thought a more severe sentence of at least 5-10 years was appropriate for this senseless act of violence.

Personally, and I know this will sound absolutely harsh to some but I'm gonna say it anyways.. I think that an eye for an eye should account for both humans and animals. You throw a dog into traffic, YOU should be thrown into traffic. See how it feels. You beat up a cat until it dies, you should be beaten to death, or at least until you cling to life and can see the error of your ways. I think anyone who would abuse a helpless animal is a waste of space on this earth anyways.

Actually, I agree with you Jenn. I take comfort in believing that those who torture helpless creatures will face God's justice after they die.

I'm with all of you..... It is really my belief that if someone does something terrible to ANYONE......human, animal, etc.... IT WILL COME BACK TO YOU!!!

I urge all of you who feel strongly about animal abuse to PLEASE go to www.pet-abuse.com , and check out this wonderful site.

I have been able to write letters to prosecutor's on some of these horrific abuse cases in hopes that these JERKS mad.gif , PEONS mad.gif , LESS THAN HUMAN TRASH mad.gif , etc...., will receive the MAXIMUM PENALTY POSSIBLE!!!!

The more help that pet-abuse.com has.....the better it will be to put these "human animals" away FOR THE LONGEST TIME POSSIBLE!!!

Thank you!

Denise
