When Gandalf first went missing I begged God to send him home or let me dream of him. Gandalf hasn't returned and I didn't dream of him for the first two weeks. I'm not extremely religious so I'm not surprised that my begging and promising hasn't brought Gandalf home. I just have trouble believing that a merciful God would continue to punish humans for the sins of those long in the past. I'm not trying offend anyone I just want you to understand where I'm coming from. I started dreaming about Gandalf the third week. All my dreams have been of him coming home which is what I want so desperately so I'm sure my subconscious is working overtime.
Last week I had something else happen...... Gandalf was last seen sleeping on a blanket under the table in the living room and I've left the blanket just where it was. There is also a kitty condo right next to the table with a couple of kitty toys in it. Gandalf loved the condo and the toys including a ball with a bell inside. My other "kids" haven't been over to that corner since Gandalf left but one night last week Max went over there and was checking stuff out. Max didn't touch anything, it was like he was looking for Gandalf to play and when he didn't see him he walked away. A few minutes after Max walked away the bell inside the ball made noise but didn't move. I know it made noise because my black lab Thor heard it too and got up off the couch to go over to check it out. Thor even wimpered and then laid down next to the condo and stared at the blanket looking for Gandalf. They were buddies, my little gray kitty and my big black lab. No one was near the ball when the bell rang. I'm thinking it's a sign from Gandalf but......... Can Gandalf be alive if he's sending me signs? Dawn -------------------- Hugs,

Dear Dawn,
I am so sorry to hear Gandolf hasn't returned but you are getting signs and that is a good thing. Even if Gandolf doesn't return you are getting a sign that he is o.k. I have prayed for something, anything to let me know that my girl is o.k. now. When Ayla first passed, I kept hearing the song "Breakaway" by Kelly Clarkson. The words reminded me of Ayla and then I kept hearing the song everytime I put on the radio and still do. I said to myself that this was Ayla telling me she was o.k. Maybe I am wrong, but I have to believe this. I have a cousin who years ago had a cat that disappeared. A very special cat indeed. She looked everywhere and never gave up. Well, one day (about two months later) her brother who is in the construction business was working on a house somewhere, not all that close to their childhood home where they all still lived. He heard a cry and there caught on a chainlink fence was their kitty. This kitty was very emaciated, hungry, thirsty...but a survivor and lived many more years after this episode. There is something to what we hear about cats and their 9 lives ![]() I am thinking of you, Kimi |

Oh Dawn I hope that Gandalf is out there somewhere safe and warm. I thought my daughter's kitty might be laying out in the cold somewhere hurt and unable to get home when he was missing. It was close to a month and he just showed up on the door step one day. He had lost weight and had a little chunk gone from his ear, but he came home. There is still hope, and maybe someone took him in there house and he is safe. I know the fear of not knowing where they are at, are they safe and being fed, and all those rush of emotions. Do not give up hope.
Ann -------------------- My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart. Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings. Snookie Lynn Howard 2-04-94 - 12-26-04 Senorita Chili Bean Bubbles Howard 11-05-94 - 11-11-04 |
