Just to let you know, our Missus Manuka is now at rest with Jake under the Locust Tree. She spent her last day with us and her siblings...doing chores and laying on the porch in the sun. She had special treats and got brushed. She went evry peacefully on Saturday Morning, with the help of our wonderful vet, who came to the house. When my husband came home with her Friday night it was obvious we were making the right decision. Her legs and breathing were failing pretty bad, but her tail still worked and she could still manage to have some steak! This was the right decision for us and we now know she is free of her earthly limitations! I am luckty to have a husband who is so unselfish. I tend to want to hold onto things and find it hard to look beyone my needs (I want them to be with me always). He is a great man and Manuka was lucky to have him too!
Thanks for all your support. Martina

Dear Martina,

Thank you for updating us. I'm so sorry you and your husband had to make that terrible decision. Miss Manuka was given such a loving gift from you both....she is free of pain and the labored breathing has ended for her. She is at peace now wub.gif

It sounds like you both made the decision with peace in your hearts. I'm glad that you were able to make the decision that was best for your precious little furgirl.

My thoughts are with you both,
Cheri

Hi Martina, I am so sorry that Missus Manuka had to leave this world. It is good to hear she went peacefully and had a wonderful day before she went. Still it just hurts so very much when they have to leave us. But she is now free from pain. Your husband and you are in my thoughts and prayers.

My girls went to the Rainbow Bridge 6 weeks and 3 days apart.
Snookie had cushing's disease, and later developed diabetes. Both had cancer, Snookie had cancer of the liver, and Chili Bean had cancer of the pallet. Chili Bean was our son's chihuahua but we kept her often throughout her life and she stayed with us for the last 9 months of her life. Chili Bean also had asthma and heart failure. We will see you in Heaven my precious darlings.

Dear Martina,

I'm so sorry for the loss of Manuka.

I'm glad to hear that her passing was peaceful and that her last day with you, and you with her was a good one.

You're in my thoughts,

so sorry to hear about manuka, but as others have said, i'm glad that she had one last great day with you guys. i can certainly relate to you about selfish needs and wanting to hold on to your pets. i still feel guilty for keeping my kitty alive for as long as i did - but i really thought that she would get better. i, too, am glad that you have such a great husband. again, i'm sorry for your loss, ah

I lost my best friend, Kitty Friday, February 11, 2005 to chronic renal failure after 14 years of growing up together. I miss her so much. I love you more than anything Kitty.
